HIghSierraHiker deleted his own profile, and left RJ. I know the reason why, but it's probably best to leave that to private mail, if anyone is interested. I don't have any contact info for him.

Yes, so do NYC Muscle. I kinda miss his lengthy and informative posting. It like somebody very high profile and important just left without saying goodbye. Its really sad.

NYCMusc4Musc just needed a break. He's in classes now and absorbed. He told me to tell folks that might want to contact him to say hello to give his email out. If any of you who feel positively about NYC would like that, just shoot me an RJ email.

For HighSierraHiker, it really was a case of it "being too hot in the kitchen" for him when he got involved in spirited Forum thread interchanges.

who was that? was that the older gentleman from iowa who thought pride was bad for the community and didn't work out or do any sports and wanted to know if we thought torso shots sucked?

No, that was skippy from Omaha Nebraska. If I recall correctly, High Sierra was a guy who got tired of gay culture in LA and moved to the boonies of Utah or Nevada.

High Sierra was a nice guy.

These forums can be spirited, but some people can just get mean. At first, he and I got off on the wrong foot talking about religion, but after talking one on one, man, I came to really like him.

You get to talk to people one on one and you realize there are some really good hearted people.

I hope if he checks back on this thing, that he sees that people are thinking about him.

Where ever you are guy, miss you being around!!!

    High Sierra Hiker,

The guy who hugging a dog , with a beard. He really good looking. He kinda have a very sad experience being a gay men. People have hurt him, he have kinda give up any hope on ever finding love with another man. I remember him saying if there is a way he just wish he could be straight.
Really tragic, make me feel like giving him a hug so he feel better.

Yeah, that was him. The guy with the beard and dog. damn it. He was on my mind yesterday like something bad was going on and that is why I came back on RealJock after being gone for a while. I had to ask cause something is bothering me and I'm kinda worried.

Well, that would explain it....he hates being gay. He mentioned that to me a while back too. Another reason I get pissy on these forums....so many people are hurting and there's not enough love to go around ...... cause people are looking out for themselves. ugh, makes me mad.

Look, I liked HighSierraHiker too. In fact we had an email exchange that was nice just before he left...even though we pretty much disagreed on every issue.

I'll tell you what I told him, without disclosing anything too personal. I felt that by pummeling the LA scene the way he did and then "escaping" to the Lake Tahoe area, he was removing himself from interacting with his gay peers, good and bad. In isolating himself, he was doing himself a disservice.

At the same time, Lake Tahoe is beautiful. And I understand why a guy who is very outdoors-fit would want to be there permanently.

    Fastprof,

You know why I like RealJock? I'm not into eye candy, I'm just not....I'm one of those weird guys who has "feelings" and all. LOL And I love the discussions on here and getting to talk to people about REAL issues.

Sometimes they get heated, big deal...we talk about real issues on here....BUT we are like a family. We can get heated without melting down.

So, what you told him was insightful and from the heart - you obviously care and kudos for you. You didn't do anything wrong for sure, you were being a man and talking one on one.

I just feel for him. I just get the sense something is wrong and I hope to God he's ok. Thanks for sharing though. I hope your day is going well so far.

Speaking of which, we're coming into our 'cold front' season here in CenTx...do you ever come out here for the weather clashing season as the fronts collide with the gulf moist air?

    xoxo
