What is the age difference between you and your BF?

Sorry if this has been done before. I am trying to get a general idea of the average age spread between guys in relationships on RJ, and how long those relationships have been going.

Kinda wondering how stable relationships in general are with guys with a very large age gap, with no age gap, or with a moderate one. I personally feel that too large of an age gap would make it hard to relate for a lot of things (of course there are always couples that are exceptions to this). I'm wondering if a moderate age difference trends a little better than same age couples or not. Of course this is very unscientific, but fun to look at anyway.

So for those of you in relationships, whats the age spread between you guys, and how long have you been together?

Here's my past relationships, giving his age difference relative to me [with time together]:

    - Current husband: 15 years older than me [6 years together]
    - Late husband: 3 years older [3 years]
    - First BF: 6 years older [4 months, my shortest, his ex brought joint property legal claim and BF had a breakdown]
    - BF: 11 years younger [2 years]
    - BF: 3 years younger (he originally told me 10 years younger, I was happier when I learned the truth) [2 years]

When I was single and dating I had a 5-up/5-down rule of thumb for age range, but as you see it wasn't strict. It's just what I preferred and mostly looked for, but neither would I reject a good prospect outside that range.

My current man (IDK if bf is the correct term nowadays) is 9 years younger than me.

"Age" is just a date on your driver's license, IMO.

The ones that lasted more than a month ranged from 4 years younger to 6 years older. Age doesn't guarantee anything, but it's definitely more than just a number

My ex boyfriend was about 10 years older! We broke up over 2 years ago! I've been dating guys on and off around 25-26 youngest (except for the 2 19 yo freshmen guys lol) and the oldest around 39-40 ish? !! I think it depends on the person! I mean as long as he's matured and ready, sure I'll consider it!

    5 years.

22 years ago people often mistook him for my father. They still do!

My partner is 6 years older than I am. It has never been an issue, and we will be celebrating 3 years in February.
