Not only that but a women miss-carried here baby

leave it up to walmart and the stupid people of america that don't care about one another.

Makes me wonder why all these men and women are dying for us, and we can't even care about one another while they lay their life on the line because they care about us.

Did you hear about the Wal-Mart security that burned a man to death on hot Texan pavement? All because he was stealing diapers no less.

This is insane. American retailing is out-of control. There is no reason for any store to be opening at 5am and certainly no reason for anyone to hurt, much less killed in the process.

I boycott doing shopping on Black Friday because I will not encourage the kind of insanity we saw today. I would add that saving $25, even $50 is not worth dealing with the crowds of nasty, aggressive people.

    I'll order what I want online thank-you.

That was 3 years ago -- no follow-up story about the eventual outcome? Did the family sue?

One of my biggest fears in life is to be trampled to death. What a horrible way to die. I though Americans were in debt up to their eyeballs?

This sort of thing happens at Hindu shrines and Mecca all the time. Perhaps this is the sign of the second coming. It's interesting to see what sorts of things can whip people up into a frenzy.

They should spend more quality time with their family and loved ones on holidays rather than obsess about getting good deals on more worthless things. icon_rolleyes.gif

The whole charade was grossly mismanaged. Why on earth would anyone think it is safe to allow mass amounts of people to crowd in front of a door? This obviously had to be one of the Wal-Marts that doesn't operate 24 hrs. I was a 24 hour Wal-Mart and for the most part, everything went smoothly.

A very sad story, and I suspect Wal-Mart will have a wrongful death suit filed against them.

Another reason not to shop at Wal-mart. I hope they get there fucking ass' sued for putting staff in a situation like that. As if they didn't know it was going to be that crazy... It's wal-mart for godsakes, the place on a normal day is packed.

This sounds like a case of group hysteria. People who would never normally behave in such outrageous ways can act like numbskulls when in a group. The sickest part was where they say the shoppers were shoving aside the paramedics trying to give CPR.

How sick. I hope those responsible are prosecuted.

The Times article said hundreds of people walked around or over the man as he lay there, dying.

Like many of you, I didn't buy anything today. And I don't shop at Wal-Mart. Gross.

I feel so bad for that employee. Bad pay, bad benefits, company is bigotted no less (majority of stores refuse to promote women, gays, and in some cases black people), and having to work at that demonic representation of capitalism because they've shut down the decent stores; Then, he loses his life while doing it. Awful.

There is no reason they cant find these people with all the cameras they have in those stores and on the door. They better cuff 'em and throw away the key. They should feel ashamed of themselves.

I never shop at Wal-Mart, never will. For common off-the-shelf items I use Target. They're gay supportive, give our HIV/AIDS charities here lots of money. So does Macy's, another store I patronize.
