    It's Bush's fault.

Unlike most GOP/Teabaggers, Christie seems to know when to "stop beating a dead horse".

Yeah, when he's been beaten himself. Far better if he had done the right thing from the beginning, and signed the gay marriage bill the State Legislature had passed 18 months ago.

His veto caused additional delay for New Jersey gay couples and expense to taxpayers. And for what?

So Christie could look attractive to national Republican Conservative voters, keeping him viable as a potential Presidential candidate in 2016. What are the wishes of a majority of New Jersey voters, the will of the legislature, and the welfare of gay citizens when Christie's national Presidential ambitions are at stake?

Christie could be president if the teabaggers knew how to elect a republican and not just a crazy republican.

    Let's see
He's done playing nicey nicey with his base
The crazy lunitics who are basicslly running the republicn party right now .... the homophobic birther crew
To have any chance of winning a National election he knows he will have to like show some support for popular things like gay marriage
But it'll be fun watching him try to balance on that knife edge

I just read that Team Romney's nickname for Christie during the vetting for the VP slot was "Pufferfish". The pufferfish is of course also known as blowfish - how apt!

Well finally Chris Christie woke up and smelled the coffee. Now if only we could have a massive moderate and progressive takeover of the GOP and evict all the narrow minded, bible thumping screwballs that would be very sweet.

    Agree!

I truly believe that "I"' didn't leave the Republican Party; the GOP left me.
