    Hey guys.

I know when I'm working out I need new music every now and then to stay motivated. The song on my Ipod right now is speechless by miss mash. I feel like I'm in a disco while I'm working out. I also like Fergiolious but it makes me want to start flirting with guys lol. Any songs you guys play while working out?

mama said knock u out by ll cool j; we can work it out by beyonce; kanye's work-out - for some heavy iron lifts-- welcome to the jungle by guns and roses, voodoo chile by hendrix, vertigo by U2 -- just a partial list, but i know those songs get me going right away.

Nine Inch Nails, especially for biking. Lately his new track, Survivalism, is great motivation for blasting up hills. Woo, rajasic energy. I like climbing to techno, something with a strong beat. As for yoga, mostly silent, although I think I posted to some other topic on here that one day we ended up listening to Sigur Ros's () one day and it was a great practice.

I'm an old school kinda guy so I basically play rockabilly and 50's music and sometimes big band is great. Brian Setzer is good because it's revved up music!

I'm stuck on Gun's and Roses - Take a Picture. Play it over and over, real loud, on my IPOD.

I'll get tired of it, eventually :-)

Do yourself and a favour and check out Mika and Amy Winehouse, two of the best CD's I have heard in a very long time. Excellent for cardio or light work-out (those days when you just don't feel like hitting heacy weights)

Man, Amy Winehouse was theoretically at SXSW the week before last, but try as I might, I couldn't get in to see her anywhere. I went to her site and listened to some of her stuff. She's amazing!

I used to listen to Use Your Illusion and Appetite for Destruction when I was doing my paper route in junior high school at 6am to motivate me to sprint around the neighborhood. I can't say I listen to GnR much anymore, but as far as motivating a good workout, I can totally see that.

hmmm, when i go to the gym i don't listen to anything as i don't have an i-pod.

when i'm at my home though, i listen to pretty much anything. just play through my favorites list which consists mostly of rock bands (chevelle, breaking benjamin, cold, etc.) and then some christian rock (anberlin and relient k, who are a lot better than people give them credit for).

    Depends what I'm doing.

For cardio and weight lifting I need something fast that will get me going, I usually find myself setting the ipod to
the Deftones, A.F.I., Editors, Interpol, The Strokes, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Peaches especially the song "you love it", Silversun Pick ups, Ladytron, Fischerspooner, Le Tigre, Bloc Party, New Order, Angels & Airwaves, NIN.
    there are others..

for strechting I tone it down with Azure Ray, Royksopp, Bjork, Ivy.

    those are just some.

^^Don't hate. I can't count how many times this song has gotten me through those last few reps or that last few hundred meters.
