For me, given the geometry of the cosmos (geocosmic), his position is opposite MY Natal Mecury, not necessarily yours. So, the message to you could be different.

Transiting Mercury Retrograde Opposition Natal Mercury.

Here's a translation of the geocosmic (cosmic geometry?) message from heaven:

This influence is favorable for thinking about and reviewing the past as well as for planning and looking toward the future.

But it would be better to be out with people at this time, because this quality of time favors interaction with others more than solitary cogitation.

Now, you can try out your ideas on others to find out what they think. Their feedback could be extremely valuable to you in adjusting your thinking. Don't get so wrapped up in your own ideas that you feel you must defend all your opinions with your life. That will take away the flexibility you need so badly at this time.

Even if you get involved in a verbal argument with someone, look at it as a test of your ideas and do not be afraid to change your thinking.

    + + +

AS IT APPLIES IN MY LIFE

I left living under a Venus Line from Solar System Heaven to live under a Saturn Line from Solar System Heaven.

    Why did I do that?

    My brother's mother-in-law was dying.
My brother was gaining the life experience wisdom of his sex partner's mother aging, going through dementia, nursing home care, and shortly after I moved in early 2009, death, funeral, and burial.

My parents were next in line for their last phase of life.

So, I thought, out of family obligation and love,

    1. My sister-in-law was there for her mother.
    2. Why should I have a beautiful life under Venus, being useless to my aging parents. Could I possibly live down the
inactivity with respect to serving Father, Mother, and Brother?
    3. After I moved under my Saturn line, true to Saturn's directive (I will focus your life on poverty, aging, wisdom, and letting go of all that must be taken away from you), I saw my dad's last phase of aging. I visited his room where he lay dead. I went with my family to make his arrangements for burial.

Now, yesterday, my brother told me he is leaving the city for a promotion.

Am I trapped (the way other priests of Astrology say Saturn traps its subjects) to care for my aging mom without my brother and sister-in-law in the same city?

Will I be able to hang in there for however long my mom lives and then return to Venus(?), where life was more beautiful (not without problems, but definitely more beautiful)?

Well, my mom refuses to move to another city.

I think my brother and sister-in-law will have to leave me to care for my mother with my female cousin.

I told my mom, remember how it took all of us to deal with my dying dad. There were five us: you, my brother and sister-in-law, my female cousin, and myself. My niece visited the hospital and the nursing home. My parent's backyard neighbors--the whole family adults and two children--visited also. It's a tremendous loss for the oldest child and his wife to be gone in this situation.

Stephen, you're asking some serious questions about geriatric care and end-of-life decisions. Tons of people on this site with similar experiences ready to render aid, advice. Which you've completely insulated yourself from with the crazy cocoon of astrology.

Seriously, what the fuck does astrology have to do with your decisions? Is this what your mother needs, the wise counsel of the eighth century? Nobody can help you with this.

Man up and make rational decisions. Consider the opinions of family and friends--and people who've been there. This astrology shit is for people who are too lazy to actually think their problems through. Come back to earth.

I have not invited you to use that sort of language with me, especially not in a Spirituality thread. The youtube video was an entertainment piece with even worse language. I gave it a thumbs down. The OP is not an entertainment piece and it did not have impolite words in it.

Thank Real Jock for Ignore His Posts and Block him, which you've earned with your lack of decorum.

Stop capitalizing spirituality. It is a noun. It is not a proper noun.

You're making important decisions based off of a load of ignorant, scientifically void findings. That in itself is immoral and repugnant.

I feel bad for anyone that has to suffer from your wacko beliefs.

    (God doesn't exist either :-/ ) lol

    Astrology is a sacred study.

We've discussed its gravity on two occasions that can be seen in this thread.

OK, I see you're not along the Nile but in West Egypt at Alexandria.

There, a Uranus beam would weigh on me.

    Under any Uranus Line:

If you're bored with life, and would do or give up anything for a change, then go to where Uranus, planet of birth and novelty is... This is where you find yourself and define your individuality. Swift, unexpected emancipation and liberation from the past, patterns and habits occur, and you find what it is to be yourself.

Mediocrity and the humdrum are replaced by zest and stormy excitement, and you become a dissatisfied soul on a life-long quest for impossible answers. Life becomes colourful, full of contrast and interest, and there are adventures, explorations and removals. Financial dealings fluctuate up and down wildly, and everything is done in the extreme, there being delight in the destruction in the bourgeois attitudes and ideals.

...offended morals are ignored, and, while nothing is apt to become permanent in this location, identity is forged in contrast to the prevailing social opinions.

You seek and may find a true peer group of equals, so could find a life long commitment to ideals or a communal living situation, though any such movements would tend to be anti-Establishment and heterodox in the extreme.

Life and self are perceived in nakedness. There are no illusions and thus there is nothing to fear.

Diversity and democracy are admired, personal charisma, pride and Promethean daring are enhanced, and you may become a new person, or take a new name.

There is perpetual juvenescence, rebelliousness and awareness of cycles, evolution and cosmic consciousness.

The environment is identified with the common place, and the inner self-seen as locus for progress and identification.

"There is no coming to individual consciousness without pain," wrote C.G. Jung, and the truth of this statement is appreciated under Uranus, where the excitement of the new is balanced by a sense of loss and alienation from roots and what you have always been.

    - AstroCartoGraphy

I can pass on that life experience.

Hey Second Star to the Right,

In whose body of work is there a study of Astrology: C.G. Jung or Neil deGrasse Tyson?

Neil deGrasse Tyson has a sample size of how many human beings in his study of Astrology?

    Here. Check this out:

    Astro Investigators:

What we look for are not merely phenomena that occur with a high frequency, but a high frequency compared to what would be expected in a random population. That’s what constitutes "statistical significance," or "greater than chance" occurrences. The extent to which a factor is present in a certain test population versus the control group(s) to which it is compared is measured on a scale known in statistics as "chi-square." The higher the chi-square number, the greater is the likelihood that the factor didn’t occur coincidentally.

Gators’ Observations of Ptolemaic Aspects in Marriage Synastry

Most Aspected Chart Points (based on the 20-roll study)

After Pluto, the ASC was the most "OFTEN" aspected point in the Male Natal Chart File.
The trine occurred as the most "OFTEN" aspect in our Male Natal Chart File.

The top 4 most "OFTEN" aspected planets in our Female File were: Neptune, Sun, Jupiter and Saturn.
Sextile and Trine were the top 2 most "OFTEN" aspects in female natal charts.

Analyze Group Control Avg.(Range) Chi Sq. %

OFTEN – top 10 from husband’s chart to wife’s chart

    his Vertex conjunct her North Node 41 23 (15 .. 2icon_cool.gif 14.1 100.0

OFTEN – top 10 from wife’s chart to husband’s chart

    her Vesta sextile his North Node 87 62 (53 .. 71) 10.1 99.8

    her Pluto opposite his Chiron 66 45 (37 .. 55) 9.8 99.8

    her Vertex opposite his North Node 39 24 (17 .. 36) 9.4 99.8

Astrology has taught us that strong synastry should exist with aspects like the following. How did they stack up? (O = Often, S = Seldom, N = No Influence)

    her Mars sextile his Venus Often 77 63 (46 .. 79) 3.1 92.2

    her Mercury conjunct his Mercury Often 39 29 (23 .. 3icon_cool.gif 3.4 93.7

The Vertex is said by some to be an important factor in synastry. What influence does it have? Here are the top 10 results:

    his Vertex conjunct her North Node O 41 23 (15 .. 2icon_cool.gif 14.1 100.0

    her Vertex opposite his North Node O 39 14 (17 .. 36) 7.8 99.8

The Vertex-Nodal involvement appears to be significant with the conjunction and opposition aspects but not with the trine. With the Vertex, there is the Anti-Vertex opposite it, just as the South Node is opposite the North Node, so we’re dealing with an axis with their conjunctions and oppositions, whereas that is not the case with the trines or sextiles. Her Vertex opposite his North Node means her Vertex is conjunct his South Node, a point that we’re taught has to do with past life connections. The Often occurrence of her Vertex conjunct his Sun fits well with traditional teachings that Sun can represent a significant male in a woman’s life.

    Duplicating the Study

For our initial study, we used a set of 15 random control groups. We re-ran the study using 20 random control groups, essentially duplicating our own study, to determine if our initial results were consistently repeatable using the same test group of charts and, if not, to determine how many random control groups are needed to achieve reliable results. Control groups are generated fresh for each running of the study, so the control group average and range numbers change from study to study, impacting the chi-square number and "percentage above chance." If the second study’s results closely mimic the initial results, it indicates that the significant factors found in the initial study are indeed greater than chance since there were a lot more "rolls of the dice" to compare against.

Here are the top five husband and wife winners from the 15-roll study compared to the 20-roll study:

    15 rolls ; 20 rolls

Chi Sq % Chi Sq %

    husband’s Vertex conjunct wife’s North Node 14.1 100.0 14.1 100.0

    husband’s Asc square wife’s Ceres 11.8 99.9 8.3 99.6

On the topic of No Brother and No Lover.

A mother needs to see both of her sons in person.

He had a wife and gave our mother two grandchildren and the life experiences that come with being matron to her own child's parenting.

What can I give to my mom in the homosexual side of my bisexuality? Oh, I can't get a date. Oh, I got stood up. Oh, no one wants to play tennis with me (except straight people). Oh, my best friend is a straight man. Oh, discreet men don't want to go to dinner with me. Oh, discreet men deny meaningfulness of friendships.

My brother brought a wife and two children to visit my parents. What do I have to show for my love life orientation?

I think with my brother moving away, that's going to take more time from my time to try to make a love connection--but to what end?

I'll do my best to take care of my energy level with the changes we're going through.

I make it a purpose to not miss any intimate friendship connection at the health club.

You gotta go with whatever Love handouts you can get when you have Love Food Insecurity.

There was an article on LinkedIn where professionals were talking about their experiences of being on Food Stamps when they were "in between jobs." So, I just put the word Love before Food Insecurity.

Yea, well, he gave us a daughter-in-law and sister-in-law to love so we didn't have to keep just looking at the four of us. Then he gave us two children to love and the three of them loved the three of us (my dad, my mom, myself), too.

Did my parents ever love my lover? Hell-NO!

My parents one time knew of a depression/sadness but not the real reason. At one time in my life, homosexuality didn't give me the opportunity to cry on my parents' shoulders.

    @StephenOABC
I hate to say this, but you really are missing the point.
I understand that you strongly believe in Astrology & I respect that (I believe it or not, that's a different story)

But in order to convince others to accept Astrology you're missing one of the basic principles of comprehension: Reasoning, Rationality.
Just advising people to read some books you suggest will not solve the problem, No one has time for that. Similarly there are many books that debunk Astrology and I believe you don't have time for that either.

To simplify the confusion, you have to answer the basic questions which any man who don't understand Astrology will ask: "Why?"

Can you tell me WHY should I trust in Mercury or Venus or anything, rather than my own decisions to live and lead my life?
Can you explain on scientific account rather than faith alone which asks in a brief and easily comprehensible explanation?
Can you explain WHY Astrology is not a superstition which true religion, true faith and science are against?

So, in order to avoid opposition you're facing here or anywhere, you have to dig in here(i.e. Rationality)

May be you'll change your opinions or you'll change the opinions of non believers.

    All the best!
I hope you'll not take this offensive.
