I was getting ready to start my workout routine tonight when my dad told me it might be better for me when I do my bench press to start at a lower weight and then just add weight the next set. I have finally gotten to benching 115lbs(hey for me that's quite an accomplishment). He was saying that I should start around 105lbs or 110lbs so that way my muscles get used to it. Is this something that might help my joints and muscles or is this something I shouldn't really worry about?
