    Six.

Six people enrolled in the first day.

$634 Million spent on that website. $100+ million per person enrolled.

(CBS News) WASHINGTON - For 31 days now, the Obama administration has been telling us that Americans by the millions are visiting the new health insurance website, despite all its problems.

But no one in the administration has been willing to tell us how many policies have been purchased, and this may be the reason: CBS News has learned enrollments got off to an incredibly slow start.

Early enrollment figures are contained in notes from twice-a-day "war room" meetings convened within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services after the website failed on Oct. 1. They were turned over in response to a document request from the House Oversight Committee.

The website launched on a Tuesday. Publicly, the government said there were 4.7 million unique visits in the first 24 hours. But at a meeting Wednesday morning, the war room notes say "six enrollments have occurred so far."

The next possible chance at that would be a unlikely 2014 democratic majority in both houses.

What is more likely is the unfortunate aftermath from this failed health insurance concept. People will be so disrupted and disgruntled the socialist agenda will be set back for a generation.

It is already galvanizing. Who now will invest MORE of their health in a government that cannot even setup a website. Who has no accountable leaders, that have no fear of being fired for incompetence. Especially during a Presidential administration when apparently the President is not involved in any oversight of his programs, and no one even bothers to tell him what is going on.

It's pompous intellectuals displaying gross incompetence on display and even the left, who cover for self serving politicians as a way of life, cannot ignore it!!

I'm not gloating, just pointing out what I observe.

Not the way the administration thinks. They've declared that "only" 15 million people will lose their existing health insurance plans due to Obamacare and have to purchase new plans with higher premiums, higher deductibles, less coverage and less doctors willing to take them. But it's "only" 15 million people.

Your comment ignores the fact that 38,000+ people need to sign up each day between now and December 31, 2013 in order for the plans to function properly. If they don't attain these signup goals, there won't be enough money pooled available to provide services for the people that did sign up.

The insurance providers dropped them. Their crappy providers could've met the basic requirements but instead they cut them lose. Now they're in a more competitive market with better plans available. It's a win win for everyone.
