Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Very nice! Your post is a great example of some of the Christian writings I agree with.

Material wealth and accumulation hinder my freedom when taken beyond what is needed for daily life and survival. For example I know one who collects many things to "use later". Unfortunately, there are closets, drawers, boxes and totes full of these "items needed for later use" in their home. Meanwhile they complain about not having money for vacations, new clothes and other reasonable expenditures. They do not own these things in my perception. Their "things I am going to need later" own them.

How much is enough? For me that can be answered by another question. Does this bring me enough joy to pay the price for it?

I have yet to find anything that compares to the rich and lasting treasures of the temple of my being. And, it is free of charge. icon_cool.gif
