New thing I am seeing a lot of younger guys do is slather on baby oil before entering and while in the sauna. I asked why, what does it do? ....they say it makes them sweat more to loose weight. Any truth in this?
I hate it! This makes everything a slimy mess and then they don't shower before hitting the hot tub or swimming pools making an oil slick....WTF?icon_mad.gif

Report them to the gym management. That's pretty unsanitary and unsafe. Can you imagine if someone slipped on the oil? Just mention liability and potential lawsuits, and I'm sure they'll do something about it.

As for the oil making them sweat more? Sounds like bro science to me. I did some googling, and mineral oil supposedly opens up the pores. But that doesn't mean it will make you sweat more. Drinking water will make you sweat more. As for losing weight? They're just losing water weight by sweating. I hope they don't think it burns fat.

I think it just clogs the pores so that the body can release the heat naturally forcing the body to heat up more and sweat more to try and keep from going into convulsions.

He said 'before' going into sauna. Not like they are drizzling oil all over themselves while in the sauna.

Besides, you know what is also slippery when it gets liquified? All the fat melting off from those fat fucks in there lol. Just kidding.

Sounds stupid. Though not particularly hazardous. But every spa or baths that I ever heard of bans oil and silicone because it's a nightmare to clean up.
Yeah, if you tip the staff, they'l 86 those guys, 'cause guess who gets stuck cleaning it up?
