Bisexuals: General Trends

Are there any general trends with bisexuals? In your own personal experiences, have you noticed any trends about their traits/attitudes/preferences?

Most of the people I have met in my life have tended to be bisexual rather than gay. I like the bi guys! For some reason I feel more comfortable with them, and I am not sure why.

The 5 general trends I have noticed with bisexual people are that:

    1. They tend to be pure tops;

    2. They tend to either want a hookup, or want a relationship that will last until the time comes for their marriage to a woman (or if they are already married, then they want a fuck-buddy type arrangement). No disrespect for the bi guys who want lasting relationships - I know it does happen.

    3. They are less likely to be feminine acting. I have never met a feminine bi guy, whereas I have met many femme gay guys (and I am not criticizing the femme guys by the way - each to his own).

    4. They are much more likely to have certain intimate/romantic sexual practices which they don't want to participate in (such as kissing and hugging). Most bi guys in my experience DO like kissing and hugging, but the chances of them not wanting this when compared to gay guys are much higher (for example I have never met a gay guy who doesn't like kissing or hugging, nor a gay guy who responds to the question "What are you into?" with the answer "I only want to fuck and be sucked").

    5. They turn me on more than pure gay guys (all other things being equal). I think that I am psychologically turned on by the idea that they have sex with women. Maybe it makes them a little more manly in my eyes? This is not a major factor of attraction, just a little extra something which is a plus for me.

    DISCLAIMERS:

    A. This is my experience only. Maybe my experience is not reflective of others - that's fine, I am simply stating the trend I have noticed in my life.

    B. I am not suggesting that anyone should discriminate against bisexual people. Even if a trend exists (which is debatable), of course this does not mean that every bisexual is like this, and each person is a unique individual.

    What are your experiences?

Bearer of bad news - I agree with you.

I had a temporary period when I was a teenager when I found certain women hot. However that was a phase and I don't consider myself bi because of a short phase which lasted between 1 - 2 years as I was developing.

This.... Though you'd think science would have proof by now.

Well I am gay. I admit to seeing hot ladies and nice tits as nice features but I don't see them as sexually appealing as naked pecs and dick and ass. The naked man's sculpted body is just amazing. Yeah they are attractive but I am very very gay.

I agree, bi guys are VERY VERY hot. They fuck better too, as they are usually tops aswell.

I myself love a bit of pussy, but im not attracted to girls... so I am fag who loves pussy... go figure! But, bi or married guys are always hotter than typical gay bloke!

    Bi guy here.

Your trends tend to fit men over 35 and those in more conservative areas, especially the notes on relationship preferences and kissing. Overall, I'd say that your assessment is fair.

For the record, I'm 24. I'll try and address each point from my perspective.

    1. Mostly true. I myself am not a bottom and would only do it incidentally within a relationship. That said, I have met bi versatiles and bottoms.

    2. Depends. Younger guys tend to be out, and if they are in a relationship with a woman, she is aware of it and mostly OK with it. Whether or not he's allowed some sausage on the side depended on the couple in question and wasn't my business. (I didn't ask)

    3. True. While I wouldn't classify them as hyper-masculine, they were mostly middle of the road leaning masculine. Closet cases of course overcompensated.

    4. First, everyone has a list of practices they don't care for/won't do. I love kissing/hugging/intimacy, but then again, I would be thrilled to be in a relationship with a man. I find that the "I don't kiss" bisexuals tend to display the signs of self-loathing (poor treatment of male partners, engaging in dangerous/degrading/risky behaviour, fear, etc).

    5. Yeah. That's fair.

    6. To each their own. icon_wink.gif

I find that one's area and acceptance of LGBT people/life choices are a major determinant of behaviour. Given that you're in Dubai, I am not surprised to see that the bi men are gun-shy of relationships, kissing, or perceived feminine behaviour.

Agree with the OP's on his summary of bi men, in general, except for summary no. 2.

What were we taking about again?

my bf is bi and he is definitely not "all top" lol icon_biggrin.gif

bi guys are not really all that different than gay guys or straight guys -- there are good guys and there are douche bags. the only difference is that they are attracted to both sexes. the overal general personality is still just like any other human being out there and varies from person to person. that's it.

This thread went from interesting to weird then to rude and it quickly evolved into insensitive name calling in a two page record...Sad.

    OP, My answers to your questions;
    1-Yes.

2-Not always the case. But like you said, it tends to happen.

3-Not at all in my case.

4-Not always. I like passion and hot sex with a woman or a man. for me, it all depends ont he chemistry with the other person.

5-Seems like that's the trend not just with gays but "adventurous women" and so-called straight men who are curious.

My general observation about bisexuals is that they are people with feelings just like everybody else. And, just like everybody else they want to be happy and don't want to suffer.

After that, I can't really generalize.

The OP is retarded. My ex is bi, never cheated, kissed, hugged, masc, I met his family, and yea he was a total top. He would he surprise me with breakfast in bed, trips, fĂștbol games, and being from Argentina and knowing I was raised partly in Tokyo would go out of his way to make Japanese food.

My current boyfriend is the same, but identifies as gay.

But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.
