Fried Foods

    Does anyone have a negative reaction to fried food? I generally stay away from them but occasionally I will have them for convenience. (Cheap and healthy fast food is not commonly found in the South.) Whenever I have fries or most other deep fried stuff I always feel sluggish and ill afterward. Does anyone else have a similar reaction?

    Can anyone suggest healthy, cheap and easy to make snacks?

    I had the same thing.

    I think it's what your used to eating when I was 17 I lost a lot of weight and went through over a year of low fat foods. When I would get stuck eating a fast food burger it would sit in my stomach for hours undigested and made me feel sluggish.

    Gradually when I knew I needed to up calories and I moved to the US and had to rely on dining hall food the feeling lessened.

    I have no doubt it will return when I go through a cycle of cutting body fat and bulking up

    It used to be no problem eating loads and lots of it, but since I changed my diet I can not eat it anymore. I might snatch 2,3 fries from a friends plate, but that's it, then my stomach says "really not". Snacks I eat and that I think are delicious are dried apricots and dried figs, Also having a bow of fresh fruit around with apples, clementines or oranges is a nice change of habit. If i want something bigger for a snack I eat a full grain toast with a piece of lettuce on top with tomatoes or whatever i feel like.
