Do we have any surviving RJ members in the Philippines? Did they experience any of SUPER TYPHOON HAIYAN?

Reports of over 10000 dead so far.....Even by the standards of the Philippines, a nation that normally sees 20 tropical cyclones a year, Haiyan is a catastrophe of epic proportions and has shocked the impoverished and densely populated nation of 96 million people. Its winds were among the strongest ever recorded, and it appears to have killed more people than the previous deadliest Philippine storm, Thelma, in which about 5,100 people died in the central Philippines in 1991.
This is reported to be the straight up STRONGEST land-falling Tropical Cyclone in recorded world history. The previous record holder was 1969 Hurricane Camille....Which had measured sustained winds at landfall in Mississippi of 195 MPH. Typhoon Haiyan had 205 mph winds at land-fall. The reported storm surge was 6 meters (20 feet).

    Heaven help the survivors....

The news gets worse all the time. I think I'm living in a permanent state of modified horror.

I believe so far there's 10,000 dead and counting. A few of my friends are there and i'm guessing there are some people from here on there as well.

    OMG Eric! icon_eek.gif!
I'm sure they're ok; if they're in Manila, they won't be affected as much as the others living in the southern regions where the typhoon is.

The idols of the unwashed shall be broken, their blasphemous mouths sealed shut by their perfect superiors. They shall be brought to their knees before judgment and shall not be spared from their sins. The great harvest shall begin, and their flesh will be torn from them. They shall be reshaped in the image of perfection and be made pure. This is fated in ancient words and astral signs.

. I think the sad part is that most probably didn't have the option or the finances to evacuate on time and their only option was to pray that the storm wasn't as severe as it was supposed to be.

I'm at least happy to know that my friend is still alive. I know a lot of people can't say that though. Really sucks
