sounds like a good idea, if in fact you have a decent post office. Unfortunately I do not.
My post office has to be the WORST in the country. 90069.
You get everyones mail but your own. I had a carrier shove a "do not bend" stiff envelope that had 13 dollars of postage on it in a doorjam.
He did this in my line of site and when i confronted him on it he said "next time i will bend it"
And there is the dreaded orange mail slip, the person who handles that in the Weho post office sometimes goes on a coffee break, and will yell and scream at you if you ask how long the "searching" will take for your item.
Or the times when our whole block gets no mail on a day. Makes ya go hmmm....
About 5 years ago I bought a UPS post box and have any package I can mailed there. They are nice and let you know when a package is in for you by text. Many of my neighbors have the same idea and they have sold all of there boxes and a few others are opening up.
In the Weho Post office 90069 there are MANY boxes open which is rare in a post office.
