I am curious what recommendations other guys may have for meal-replacement shakes etc. I am a pretty lean guy, and my goals aren't to be real big and bulky, but could use a little tightening up, as I had a slightly lazy summer.

I don't want something that is going to make me gain weight, more of something that will keep me nourished in a healthy way and provide enough energy to get through the day.

    Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

I know you are looking for shakes, but they can be somewhat inconvenient at times. Look up the South Beach Diet Bars though, I think they're good, and they're surprisingly low in calories if you want to slim up too.

Shakes-wise though, slim-fasts are actually supposed to be good for you in multiple ways. Maybe thats a start?

1 cup non-fat, low sodium cottage cheese
2 Tbsp reduced fat, natural peanut butter
    1 banana
1-2 packets sugar free, chocolate carnation instant breakfast

fill to 32 oz. with skim milk
(optional- 1/4 cup liquid egg whites)

blend until cottage cheese is no longer visible ( I use a hand mixer)

This is my breakfast, and it keeps me going all morning and into the afternoon. It's very low fat, relatively low carb, and full of protein... and it tastes really good.

If you don't have a problem with milk, it's great. You can also substitute soy, but I hate the stuff, and stay away from large quantities.

    Thanks to both of you!
