So I just saw this new profile of a 20 year old guy in the Philippines, who used a picture of Mark Wahlberg as his profile pic icon_lol.gif
I find that hilarious and pathetic all together.

So now I've sent him a prank e-mail, adressing him as if he were Mark Wahlberg (hoping for a reply)

Here's my suggestion. Whoever comes across one of these profiles w. celebrity pics, please send them some fan mail (so they'll be bombarded w. prank mail icon_twisted.gif ) it'll be a fun way to fight some of the fake pic profiles, using irony and sarcasm.

When I saw the thread title, I thought of people who post pics of themselves with celebrities (not that there's anything wrong with that ...)

Some of those are pretty funny, too.

I suppose for someone fantasizing about Marky Mark, that profile would be appealing ... ?

LOL! Probably a poor misguided soul thinking this is yet another manhunt where pics aren't that important.

I remember one member that Zimatar (May his soul rest in pieces) caught here once. A guy who was using a picture of Piolo Pascual, a filipino moviestar. Banking on the fact that none of the westerners would recognize him. And some guys fell for it. Not that I can blame them. Piolo is HAWT. icon_wink.gif

In a way my scheme worked...but not quite to my satisfaction. the guy's already changed the pic and is now residing in San Diego... looks just like any other RJ profile now...... I know, scary right?! icon_lol.gif

    That's a splendid scene.

OK, here's my confession: long ago, in another universe, I created a profile to take to AOL chat rooms, to see what response I'd get.

First, the screen name: Troy Acheman - I learned that apparently no one in those rooms was an NFL fan (or those who were passed the name by without a chuckle).

Troy (26) was not only a former college football player, but then went to Oxford for a year and "at present " had finished his medical residency and was practicing - his specialty: orthopedics, because that's the sexy, athletic thing.

He was probably 6' 1" (not over-tall, don't want to scare anyone away), about 190-200. Blonde, blue. Since there were no pics in those profiles, I didn't have to worry about that.

He was perfect. And he was constantly getting hit on - ims stacked up like a deck of cards, and direct messages in the chat room were many, but, alas, not varied:

    "You sound hot!"

    Dimwits.

I never strung anyone along, just said hi, was friendly. But it was a hoot for a night to be like "Mr 9x6", fictional but fantastic.
