Not an unusual thing, especially if you are taking in a lot more of the wrong kind of carbs in order to bulk up. If you are taking in sugars (like lots of maltodextrin in extreme weight gainer blends) and high-glycemic carbs (bread, pasta, cheerios, beer (dammit), nachos, potato chips, certain fruits and veggies, scones from starbucks (yummy, I know), etc.), correct it by googling the glycemic index and look for lower glycemic carbs. It is best to spread your eating over 6 or 7 meals, i.e., every 3 hours or so, to keep your blood sugar level stable. Spike in blood sugar are caused high glycemic carbs, which, in turn, cause an insulin reaction, which in turn takes the carbs you don't use for energy and breaks them down and stores them as fat. Your caloric intake and utilization is also connected to your energy output from exercise, so be sure to get in some cardio every week. Excess carbs also create water retention. If you are using chemical assistance that aromatizes, you must get an estrogen inhibitor in the mix. Excess estrogen leads to water retention and fat deposition.
