You've gotta take hints in everything he likes and says, in normal everyday discussions.

It happens that he might do something that you can make better, or tell you about what he'd like, or what he "should get" (but that you get him before he can make the move).

My boyfriend always makes himself some home-made flavored teas, with lemon and stuff, and enjoys drinking it cold throughout the day.

I bought him an Advent Christmas "calendar" from David's Tea with a new tea flavor everyday until Christmas.

He also likes classical music, and I know that he really likes the Second Movement of the Piano Sonata #2 by Rachmaninoff; I'm looking forward to print the music sheet on a nice paper, frame it beautifully and offer him for Christmas.

    ...

    That, and jockstraps icon_twisted.gif

I think Tesla's dead, but I'm sure you could find a distant relative of his.

    My loyalty and trust???
I'm not a rich fag, so I would hope he wasn't too materialistic not to appreciate my giving him my heart, my loyalty and trust.... sad, I know...

Now, I just need a boyfriend to give them to.....

    +1
Just be aware of what he really likes, and get something along that theme.

After (if) you have been together for a long time, you might periodically stumble on something that he would really like - jump on it then - before you forget - and store it away until the birthday or christmas or whatever.

My ex boyfriend took me to Vegas first class for my birthday and we saved money to go to England/Italy! So, anything travel related is hot in my opinion or get me a promised silver/white gold ring! icon_cool.gif

I like experiences rather than material things. One of my favorite gifts I ever received was a day to swim with dolphins.

It really depends on what your boyfriend is into but I'd say an extraordinary experience with animals or weekend getaway is hard to beat.

    Or Go-Karts if you're on a budget.

You can get them in the UK for £50 which is quite affordable (but yes you are right)

I see what you did there.....icon_cool.gificon_eek.gificon_cool.gif
But, for reals... Go buy him a ring. Even if it's something simple. It will mean more than you'll ever know.
You can buy the good stuff later in life if he sticks around another 20+ yrs.

    That is all.

    So you're a poor fag?

Well, yes... I work for the government, was furloughed (forced days off without pay...) for many weeks this year... and live in Los Angeles County, California, the most expensive county in the country... barely can keep my head above water...
soooo.... if I had a boyfriend, I would hope he loved me for me, and not my tiny bank account, like many fags that can pick up and jet set around the world on a whim.....

I'll pick you up in my beat up old car, and we can go out for a Subway sandwich or something. icon_wink.gif
