Ok bros! I need you guys to weigh in! I currently have an xbox 360. Should I. Go with the flow and get the Xbox one or jump ship and swim on over to the PS3???

dc0776 saidI would wait a few months until the initial bugs are worked out.

I haven't read it yet; just starting now.

I like Ars, but that was a weak article.
Lumpyoatmeal saidiFixit already did a tear-down for both. Seems the hard drive is relatively easy to replace on both units.xrichx saidLumpyoatmeal saidClick here: Head-to-head: Everything you need to know in the PS4 vs. Xbox One battleSummary: Buy either one. Or not.

Lol. Yep, that was exactly my reaction.
They didn't say anything about how you can replace the hard drive on the PS4, or how some online stuff is free with the PS4 (something I read somewhere) while you have to have the Xbox Live Gold for the Xbox One for any online stuff.
Well it was at least nice to learn that the Xbox One controller is decent; it doesn't look comfortable to me. And it was nice to learn that the Xbox One has lower power consumption.
Again, wait and see.

Not for the Xbox One, from what I read, "The Xbox One requires a considerable amount of disassembly to pull out and replace the hard disk drive, and iFixit calls it a warranty-voiding procedure."
While for the PS4 they say, "However, aside from the user-replaceable HDD, getting into the system's guts is a little harder than with the Xbox One" meaning that the HDD is meant to be user replaceable while it's clearly not on the Xbox One (the "little harder" stuff about Torx screws is if you go beyond replacing the HDD). That's also how replacing the hard drive was with the PS3; well documented by Sony and straightforward. With the Xbox 360 replacing the hard drive voided your warranty.

Dude, Xbox is stupid. You can't share games with your friends. Hell, you can't even play your old 360 games on it. So all those games you bought? In the fucking trash. It's fucking massive and the same ole massive, clunky controller as well. And I don't think I should be forced to have internet to play a fucking game. Oh, and you have to buy this Kinect bullshit because it won't work without it plugged in. Not to mention, people are reporting this thing eats discs. You can have that piece of shit. I'll stick with PlayStation.
FastlaneKid saidAs I mentioned before, I'am getting the PlayStation 4 for a number of reasons. One of them is quality and after sales piece of mind a company like Sony can deliver.
Think about this, why would I want some inferior piece of equipment with out-the-box-mechanical defects? sure the first badge of PS4 might have software issues but that can be fix with just an upgrade. A problem that will not be present in future allocations.
In the other hand...That ShitBox One disc grinding noise sounds serious and noting the failures of the previous console and the response from Microsoft when it came to dealing with issues like that... Think about it? Why would any intelligent person would want to invest $500 in a headache?

The build quality of the PS4 is pretty bad compared to the XBOX One. The design is nicer and more compact but definitely not better built. The headphones and cables that come in the box are also really really bad and every review has covered this problem already. The PS4 unit wabbles on any flat surface and over 40 thousand PS4 have been reported bricked and unfixable through software. Many users have even damaged the HDMI out port which according to Kotaku seems to be very sensitive so I really dont know where you are getting your facts from
Reality:
The XBOX and the PS4 are beat identical gaming systems with near identical specs and performance not by what a paper tells you but from straight up side to side comparisons. Most popular games are available on bith systems as well so from a purely gaming perspective they are both just as good in which case i would buy PS4 simply because its cheaper. However, the XBox comes with Kinect out of the box paired with an extrmely powerful gesture control system, voice controls and face detection. It also provides an HDMI In interface making the XBOX the center of the living room experience, switching from TV to gaming by simply saying "XBOX go to TV". XBOX live also has quite a full catalogue of apps that ps4 does not and Microsoft is working continuously to expand their content availability by signing deals with major content peoviders like HBO. The interface and software in the XBOX is also superior, Microsoft is a software company and they have the experience to pull it off. Security is also much better on Live and Could services are also much better than what PS4 can currently offer. The fact that Kinect came bundled with the XBOX means that games developers can count with that interface being available and make better use of the technology in future games. Sony is giving u a PS4 which is literally a PS3 with better graphics and is charging u $400 for it. Micrsoft is giving you also a system with better graphics plus a full on integration system with tons of available services and content. Its a no brainer for most people. The PS4 does not feel like a next gen console.
