Man, I am so sorry to hear about the whole breakup thing. It's never fun for anyone.

I understand the age thing. My last boyfriend was 40 and now I'm dating a 33 year old. One perk of dating someone older is you constantly get this glimpse into the future, and it can really be exciting :-)

So now how to get over it.
1.) Surround yourself with positive people and positive things. You don't need any more negativity in your life through this grieving period.

2.) Find a hobby. You need to find something that pikes your interest and distracts yourself. Look for different things to try.

3.) Don't feel sorry for yourself.

4.) The biggest one is... time. Time is the perfect remedy for all things. You'll wish you were dead, you'll wish you were happier, you'll wish you were stronger, but when it's all said and done you'll wish that you realized sooner that life goes on.

If you TRULY care about him that much, you can make him and you feel better by

    A) wishing him genuinely well and wishing his new relationship to be well and that it will bring happiness to him.

    B)Do this:

I think you should have told him how you really felt, could it be he didn't get an indication of your true feelings? I personally think you should tell him, I don't believe that age differences automatically are a barrier to relationships it just depends on the people involved.
I would try to stay positive, if he doesn't seem receptive or says he wants to move on, keep the faith. You are only 19, many more great guys are going to come your way and you want to be ready. Good luck!

    Trolliosis saidI'm fucking dying.

"Somebody we know" has been on here several times, telling of feeling depressed and suicidal. People have reached out and been supportive - I on a one-to-one level as well as in the forum. If one of those threads had then been changed to a cheesy sexual theme as some kind of "gotcha" joke? Damn right it'd be "offensive."
The clown who originated this claimed to be having trouble moving on from a relationship after his partner left him. Once he'd scared up some sympathy, the subject and the opening post were completely changed. So yeah. The shit ain't funny. I guess it's the new way of making prank calls since everybody has Caller ID now. icon_rolleyes.gif
Hopefully the perp of this nonsense won't keep crying wolf 'til everybody besides me quits paying attention. 'cause then - if he has a real problem, oh well!

Don't. The OP makes a post, then completely edits the subject and first post. Pay him no attention.

It would have worked better if he had started the thread as something like "who likes cake, yes or no" then changed it to "who likes watching people take a dump" so the people who responded looked like kinky bastards.

I'm not making that up; I've seen pictures of people doing it, unfortunately.
