Do you want to make calls while you fly?

Do you want to listen to your seat mate?

    No & No

With my luck the people around me would be yaking for the entire flight. And most speak much louder when on a cell phone.

Not sure if any airlines would attempt to bar making voice calls, only permit texting and listening to voicemail. Those wouldn't bother me.

Worst decision ever! Can't we save even one environment
to be free from people yapping it up on the phone. As if flying isn't bad enough already. What's wrong with what we had, which was phones that were on board the aircraft that you could use if needed. It's pretty pathetic if people cannot even take an airline flight and keep their phones switched off. Just stupid.

    No and no.
On the last two flights I took, I sat next to a person who wouldn't shut the fuck up for one second through the entire flight, talking to the person next to him/her. It was torture. I'll never fly again.

My question should have been "Can you make it through a flight without checking RealJock?"

As for phone calls, it seems that the FAA is going to lift the ban.

I think passengers will demand a return to the ban, allowing only texting.

When I get one like that I say "es tut mir leid, aber ich spreche kein Englisch. Sprechen Sie Deutsch?"

I fly a lot for work and think allowing people to talk on their phones on the plane is a bad idea. Flying is already a miserable experience. Being cramped in with so many people, invasion of personal space, etc. The only soloace I have is to put in my ear buds and tune out to some music and look out the window. The last thing I wanna hear is the person next to me flapping their gums on the phone. Because you know there will be people who will do just that.
