Some of the trainers at my gym have started getting their clients to do this. I had been thinking of doing it myself but I have decided I am more interested in strength gains than size (although of course size comes with it). However, it drives me mad when you ask someone how many sets they have left on the squat rack/bench press and they say 8 or 9 - aargh!

Has anyone got experience of doing it?

That's why I go to the gym during certain hours. icon_biggrin.gif

Have you considered trying alternating? Like one month, try GVT and then next month do strength training?

Lol no. You pick a weight that allows you to complete the 10x10. By doing all those reps, you're stimulating muscle hypertrophy.

I am thinking about what I want to do next year, so tossing around ideas. I know I want to sort my nutrition out once and for all. I might alternate strength and GVT 12 week plans, but interested to hear what results people have had.
