All we ever read about on these threads are the same old negative stalemate issues, so race, religion and politics aside...Go on and share some really odd, small aspects that you still appreciate about life !!!! These are mine..

    1. Water! I love seeing it, hearing it, watching it, feeling it. Waterfalls, the Ocean, river so calming. 2. Walking barefoot 3. Good food made with love.4. Trying new things 5. Goo Goo dolls song "I just want you to know who I am" I don't know the exact title ;) 6. A good hug none of these fake weak, airy hugs. If you don't want to give it don't. 6. Random messages saying "Thinking of you". Nothing better. 7. Playing soccer to let off steam 8. A good cup, glass of anything that suits the occasion. 9.Balmy spring nights filled with the sweet scent of the yesterday, today and tomorrow tree 10. Having a good laugh. 11. Getting my hair cut, also referred to as "getting my fresh back""!

The giggle of a little kid,
The hug and kiss from son, daughter, niece or nephew,
The company of family and friends,
    The sound of pouring rain,
Good music playing for a good occasion

    Freedom to speak
That we have a comfortable home in a nice area.
That we own fairly new, reliable cars
That we live where there's always an abundance of safe, fresh food available in lots of local stores
    That we have reliable utilities
    Garbage pickup twice weekly
That there's still good people around, not everyone is out to get you
That I'm currently enjoying a stay at a very fancy hotel in Atlantic City, NJ and I won enough money in the casino to pay for the whole trip
That I have a fun holiday to look forward to
That I found a doctor who's helping me lose weight, which has helped my physical and mental health to no end
That I found a Krav Maga school near my home and the classes are as fun as hell!!!
There's lots to be happy and thankful for!

I will share a couple for now.

    1) Gym soreness. I had no idea I would miss it as much as I did.

    2) My big sectional couch. Possibly the best purchase I have made, maybe ever. Now if only I had someone to cuddle with...

    -tickling
    -sunsets
-A glance of complete understanding with a friend during an awkward situation
-Really pushing myself at the gym

    A beautiful day.
    Waves lapping against a shoreline.
    The ocean in general.
A nice hot cup of tea (solves all of life's problems)
    Eggs.
    Dogs.
    Family.
    Genuine kindness
The prospect of meeting with old friends.
    Hugs.
    Running.
    Handsome guys.
    Broccoli.
    People (people are amazing)

    Sound of birds chirping
After rain scent in the summertime
Giving what you can to needy people
    A friendly gesture to/from a total stranger
The smell of home made food
Comfort you feel around family and friends
    Genuine smiles and laughter
Being exposed to new cultures and traditions
    Dancing and losing all inhibition
    Unconditional love

watching my bf stick his tongue out when he is doing something difficult

    sunbeams

gold light in the morning on houseplants

lily of the valley, and lilac, white narcissus and mock orange smell

    driving past the bread factory

crunchy snow that looks like diamonds

the blue heron in the pond on the way to work

the white xmas lights on one tiny shrub on my way to work

the hairs on my bf's perineum being tickled

    green eyes

watching a boy study when he doesnt know you are watching

having a bf let you warm up your frozen feet on him when you crawl in to bed after he is asleep already

watching people i care about drive away until the very last moment

    elegant math proofs

    coin etchings

    albrect durer

    pencil drawings

peanut butter and jam toast dipped in hot chocolate

    folded potato chips

    sucking the salt of pistatchios

clementines that the skin falls of and no seeds

    snow mobile exhaust fumes

    chainsaw smell

inverted images in a drop of precum on your bf's cock when he is about to let you fuck him and you suck him off

    finding coins on the road

the grocery store at 8am being empty and perfectly primped (apples shined and pyramid'ed etc)

putting coins in a gum machine and turning the crank

when a movie has an after credit featurette and nobody else stayed for it

    quarter cut oak

    birds eye maple

    soft leather

    worn wood bannisters

    brass handles

dry toilet seats in public washrooms

    unused erasers on pencils

mozzarella cheese stalactites that stick to the tinfoil when you remove it from the top of lasagna for the last 15 minutes.

I love the smell of smoke that accompanies the evenings in a High veld ( south African ) winter

as a designer ...the soft roll of a perfectly set tailored sleeve can really leave me speechless ...especially when I am the one who spent ours of easing and steaming and setting

the sound of an orchestra tuning up before a ballet or opera starts

the kindness of strangers who have given me lifts from the side of the highway home

the way my very straight very macho co workers treat me with respect and care

and sleeping in on a Saturday morning until the dog decides its walk time

That's quite the dare for me, Macker, and a bit too embarrassing for me to do. Some of the small things are synesthetic in nature. icon_redface.gif
