Order of the Phoenix is the first one I watched. Loved it. Went back and caught up on the early movies, then saw the last ones in the theater.

Order of the Phoenix was my favorite.
I liked them all but found the earlier ones a bit too silly and the later ones a bit too dark.
I don't have a problem suspending disbelief for magic but I always wonder why wizards who can move mountains can't move their eyeballs into a shape that would free them from wearing glasses. Ha.

she needs to write the prequels about the first time voldemort attacked..and killed everyone

and then the pre prequels featuring the 4 house leaders founding everything.

I just love how its all developed so well.. and just how dark It's getting opposed to when they were young and only small problems existed..like a troll was a big deal remember?

I'll be the sourpuss and rain on this parade: I did not like the books. I did like the first book but that was it.

I wonder if I would have enjoyed the movies if I hadn't read the books.

Things I didn't like about the books:

    1. They were basically just soap operas in book format. The plot, such as it was, about Voldemort was only about 10% of each book. The rest was all the soap opera stuff; who was "snogging" who, quidditch matches, the visiting professor shenanigans, etc.

    2. I hated how she'd introduce a character or idea and then in subsequent books they'd be completely gone and never appear again, or only in the most minimal way. Sirius, his dad's best friend for example, or the dragons, for another.

    3. During fights their wands were essentially just guns; point it at someone and say some pseudo Latin phrase and it shot a bolt of energy.

I did and still do like the first book. But the following books just didn't live up to my expectations.

A book about wizards written for adults that I really enjoyed:

The second book in the series took a while to grab me; I almost didn't finish it but in the end I'm glad I did.

In a related note, I thought the "Worst Witch" series on HBO was very entertaining.
    Look familiar?

I do not like the movies at all. Harry Potter was my first book love, and I was a purist. I could not fathom all the changes the movies were making, especially to the last one the Battle of Hogwarts was awful. Bellatrix's death scene was a 15 second Disney clip show, but in the book she was dueling 3 people at a time... Molly, Ginny, and Luna. So was Voldemort. (Slughorn, Kingsley, Mcgonagall) I was really looking forward to those epic duels.

now i just don't care too much about any movie or book. it makes me too angry,.. like the walking dead is totally different. it sucks..
