I'd say...stay 18! hehehe.....anyway, I'd tell myself to take care of myself better and only do what I'm comfortable with. I'd mention to NEVER do assembly line work, or take crap from people (even if they're friends) and never be too dependent on others for happiness. Never get into credit card dept. ....I'm sure there's more to tell myself, if I think about it, but, it's better if I just take it from here and not make the same stupid mistakes.

wow.... um invest in the internet tech bubble, sell early, and short the S&P TSX COMPOSITE INDEX 2001.

Buy Apple Stock sell at 178

    Buy Nintendo

Buy into Google IPO and sell at 700

WARN WTC on September 10th 2001.

    ...

id be a billionaire if I could just talk to myself at 18. I had 90 grand in my bank account and I could've leveraged the hell out of it.

Also would've told myself most importantly, don't EVER doubt your instincts or your capabilities. Post Secondary is OVER-RATED.

Be bold and courageous. You'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did.

A quote I read somewhere years ago. I follow it closely however, I still have a couple regrets.

Don't do so many drugs. . . jk

I would tell myself, "treasure the moments you have now because later on when you laugh at them you will somehow miss them."

Don't ever put another person's name on a title of ownership when that property is 100% percent yours. ( bought and paid for with you own blood, sweat and tears)

Never shy from love for the pain it may cause. Do right. And be fearless.

I don't think I could've told him anything different that I needed to learn on my own. I had my first real boyfriend at this time, and I suppose I would've told him to not go back home the week he died. I would've liked to have been with him - he died of an HIV related disease that took him very quickly. Otherwise, I myself was fine and needed every lesson I learned.

True love and loyalty is more rare than you think. Don't squander it or take it too lightly when you have it.

And ditto on the credit card debt. If I had it to do over again, I would never even have applied for a single credit card.

I'd say, "Mike, you're gay. Admit it, and you'll have a lot less stress in college."

To get more active and hit the gym.

To be smarter with and about money.

    To travel more.

To care less about what other people think, but care more about how other people feel.

Oh, and yeah, those feelings about boys? Not a phase.

I would sit myself down and say ok...if you don't study abroad earlier in your college career, your experience is going to suck. I wish I would have left the country during my sophomore year and not my senior year...I probably would have transferred.

I'd tell him to leave the farm immediately instead of being so cautious.

I'd say..."18 year old self, study harder in school...take classes you actually can use in your career or life, NOT just the ones you think will be easy...save more money...don't ever let yourself get in credit card debt...wear sunscreen...buy some stocks in that new coffee thing called "Starbucks"

LOL, I'd say being 19 is as overrated as I thought! icon_biggrin.gif

That and DO NOT drop out of Math 150. At the end of the course the prof pulls a bunch of BS and everyone who didn't drop the course passes. icon_rolleyes.gif
