And btw, the new ZO-6 is being introduced already at NAIAS 2014

    http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f70/2015-corvette-z06-revealed-next-month-144177/

As far as power goes, I'm hearing anywhere from 600 - 700 hp. Of course if it's 700hp, where's that leave the next ZR-1 .... what, 850hp or something .... nuts!

GM will have to lean on NHRA again to lower the roll cage rule from 9.99 to something quicker. The rule was just changed a few years ago for ET classes from 11.49 to 9.99 and this is for 2008 and newer and unaltered.

I wish I could go. That's THE auto show followed by the Los Angeles one. Ours was over the Thanksgiving weekend and it was just as bad as all previous years. As always, No Audi or Mercedes but somehow Maserati was represented by their local dealership. The only good thing was they had the 2015 Escalade, Suburban LTZ and Yukon SLT and the upcoming CTS... Most were inside GM's famous do-not-cross-our-glass-rotaring pedestals. I HATE the amber/orange turning signals LEDs.

Detroit is worth the trip as it is THE show in the USA.

I'm also hoping that they show the new BIG Cadillac.

I just spent a grand for getting true winter tires so I want to get some use out of them and drive what I have currently for the winter. I'll figure this out in the spring, but as of now, the ATS-v, CTS vSport, SS or maybe just an impala LTZ for a daily driver and get some more old cars. I really really want a 61 PIMPerial before I die and a collection is being sold at Amelia Island in March.

That's a beauty. Classics are like a good champagne. The older they get, the better they are.(and more costly too)

It's hard to choose just one. The General has come around with a couple of good choices. One of the things I notice, is how top notch Chevy's are now. I mean, the Impala LTZ you mentioned, looks a thousand times better from the previous gen. It's like entry luxury now.

In the SUV sector, the Suburban LTZ now has double stitch leather on the dashboard, LEDs everywhere something that was exclusive to the 2008-2015 Escalade/ESV platinum edition. I don't get Chevy versions but I'm in love with that SUV.

maybe the city should cancel the auto show in Jan to save some money, the city cant afford to support this event, unless the car companies themselves pay for everything, (i think that is a great idea) i dont think Detroit has anything to celebrate next year, its only suburbia white people and the press who attend once a year and then go back to their enclaves, Michigan is a horrible divided cesspool, with bad weather

The 61 would still be my choice because of the darker color and the fins. I don't care for the fins on the 60 nearly as much and I think the darker the color the better this car looks. I marginally like the nose on the 60 better though.

Depending on what else is going on I might go to Amelia Island this year.
