Has anyone ever had any sporting injuries treated with kinesio taping? I have seen it used several times, and starting to learn how to use it myself, has anyone had any postive/negative experiences with it?

I have seen many conditions which were treated very effectively with kinesiotaping. Basically the tape is used to proprioceptively stimulate the muscles underneath to work properly. It is commonly used in hip/knee injuries/pathologies, and also with some scapulothoracic dysfunctions, although it can be used in many musculoskeletal disorders in which a muscle imbalance is present. You do need a therapist/trainer who is educated in taping to show you how to properly place the tape but it definitely can be an adjunct to a good rehab program.

I completely agree! I use it all the time on my pateints from the shoulder to the foot. It is skilled, so you will def. want to see a physical therapist for proper taping use.
