    Expressing concern over the Indian Supreme Court's ruling restoring the ban on gay sex, the US has expressed its opposition to "any action that criminalises consensual same-sex conduct between adults".

    What I never understood about these matters is who is taking the time to enforce this? Speeding tickets I get, the act is endangering other people in plain sight...

    Religious nut jobs and the corrupt police. In the past, before 2009, when homosexuality was banned, police could easily harass you and ask money to settle the case.

    It's not about enforcing it, but as long as this is on the books, it is much easier to deny any further lgbt rights. You just have to point out that it's still criminal.
