One time while I was undressing to head to the showers, I noticed a guy putting some vaseline on his dick. He wasn't hard or anything but I was curious. I would have asked him, but didn't want him to think I was weird. So, I'm asking all you guys out there, why would a guy put vaseline on his package? (And please, I just want guesses, not mean responses).

the only thing i could think of would be if he was having "dryness" problems (was he circumcised recently?) , or he wanted to bareback someone.

I'm betting he just likes to touch his dick in public.

Probably to keep it looking young. Vaseline protects the skin.

Could be that he gets chafed, from the stationary bicycle, for example. Or maybe he thinks it helps with crotch rot.

I'm very weird; I put vaseline in my nose. Every so often the skin in my nose gets very tender and dry so I twirl a q-tip in some vaseline and rub it all over the inside of that nostril. The tenderness goes away within moments of doing that.

How do you look at a guy long enough to notice he's applying Vaseline to his dick? Creeper.

Because he was right next to me as he was doing it. I'm no creeper. I said, no mean comments. Keep that to yourself.

Here in South Africa it's very common for black guys to put cream or Vaseline on their bodies. So its very hot to watch them doing it.

One guy once was standing in the mirrors flexing and rubbing cream on his body. Was super hot!

this "should" be standard grooming practice of black men everywhere not just south africa...just as caucasians "should" apply sunscreen every day to prevent going red and looking like lobsters ...black skin tends to dry out quite drastically getting a waxy or ashen appearance ..lotion and vasaline prevent this icon_smile.gif

Bicyclists & joggers put protectant creams & lotions in their crotches, on their junk, and in the case of women, under their breasts. At our charity bike ride last month one of the complimentary items included in the rider "goody bags" was a packet of Chamois Butt'r® to help prevent saddle rash.

I also apply some Vaseline aloe vera lotion to my crotch before I leave the house for a round of golf. I can sweat a lot out in the Florida sun, and with walking I can become uncomfortable down there.

So this gym guy might have been preparing for a workout, with stationary bike, treadmill, stairmaster, etc, where he wanted some protection against intimate chaffing.

    1. This is the Internet, where all comments are welcome despite what specifications you think you can impose.

    2. Grow a brain and realize that vaseline doesn't lose its lubricating properties just because it's applied elsewhere besides your lips.

It's probably chafing. It can get very painful. I'm very big in the legs, so I use runner's lube on the inside of my thighs and groin area.

Black skin dries out more visibly. White people get ashy too, they just can't see it. This refusal by so many of my white friends to use lotion is an ongoing battle. I will win...

I cant see if I am looking ashy but I can certainly feel it ...moisturize is so important so many skin problems are caused by not enough moisture which causes skin to either dry out OR overproduce its own oils making grease and acne

    For his ashy dick, LOL

Or if he's circusized, it's to keep his penis from keratinizing so much.
