I dunno, i guess if his brother and family feels it's honoring Paul's legacy I'm ok with it, but this really smells like a craven, crass, & ghoulish attempt by the studio to salvage the latest installment of a cash cow franchise.

QUOTE FROM ARTICLE: 'They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up they can CGI it later on. If that's how they're gonna deal with it, why do they need his brother, there are probably 10 million guys they could get to do back shots and match Paul's build.

it would be more compelling to do a rewrite and address the accident and then bring his brother in as an additional character but I'm sure the would kill the production budget. and maybe that's bringing art too close to life.

I've noticed the studio/distribution has been running non stop commercials for the blueray release of F&F #6 all during the media coverage of the fatal accident. real class.

I don't think he needed to in F&F. The character he was playing was himself.

    No "hate" meant!

More than one respected movie critic agreed with my assessment of Paul Walker's acting ability (or lack thereof).

well the same can be said for every movie that tom hanks, gary cooper, jimmy stewart, george clooney, sean connery, brad pitt, and robert redford were ever in. they always play themselves.

so i guess paul walker is in oscar winning company.

and anyway from everything i've read, he was a better person than 99.99% of all the so called "great actors" who are nothing more than terminally insecure, narcissistic assholes, desperate for attention.

just don't see the point in kicking a guy who's dead.

alot of people liked the movies he made, and on the day he died, he was working to give something back.

I think you could find a more deserving target for your smallness.

Sounds a bit like The Death and Life of Bobby Z, which was actually not a bad book for an airplane read. Although you could tell all along that Winslow was thinking "movie scene." The eventual movie... I dunno. They spent a lot of money on shoot-em-up stunts, but it was pretty flat.

    It is Hollywood.

And reminiscent of how Jim Belushi seemed thrust into the spotlight (SNL 1983-1985) right after his talented brother John speedballed to death in 1982.

    The show must go on.

Well, 3 on your list played themselves well enough to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. In fact, Cooper & Hanks won it twice. And all the others were Best Actor nominees, except for Connery.

And if Hanks could be simple-minded Forrest Gump, plus the dying gay attorney in Philadelphia, and a stranded astronaut fighting for his life in Apollo 13, a morphed kid in Big, do light romantic comedy in Sleepless in Seattle, but also tackle a gritty war story like Saving Private Ryan, and currently portrays Walt Disney in Saving Mr. Banks, and still be just playing himself, then he must have a very interesting life indeed.

What does this have to do with his ability (or lack thereof) as an actor?

His talent is all I commented on.

YOU are trying to spin my words into something else entirely.

    Are you a GOP/TEAbagger?
