From platonic to romantic and everything in between, my interpersonal life looks like a United Nations meeting; yours looks like KKK gathering. Go back to burning crosses, boo.
...and how does having friends of _____ race(s) make a person more virtuous? Is there like an affirmative-action-ish quota for friends now? Last time I checked, it's only wrong if you exclude people based on race; there's nothing wrong if your friends happen to not be comprised of a smorgasbord of backgrounds. I doubt Scruffypup refuses to befriend people simply because they are of a different ethnic background than he is.
If your friend "happen" to only be comprised of one race and you live in a non-rural area in 2013, you probably have some exclusionary practices going on in your life, consciously or subconsciously.
There shouldn't have to be a quota: you live in New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago etc. and you haven't managed to make one true intimate relationship with a person of a different race? Hmmm.
I don't know Scruffypup, but his words on these forums have revealed him over the years to be quite the bigot. So I don't share your benign view, and at any rate, him or anybody else whose personal life has one color has absolutely no business accusing me of "hate". They should remove the plank from thine own eye first.
