This may be the one guys! Houston, the 4th largest city in the country and the largest city with a gay mayor (three term mayor Anise Parker), may have just provided the SCOTUS with the definitive case that will eventually make it unconstitutional to prevent same sex couples from marrying ANYWHERE. The Mayor's decision to allow domestic partner benefits to those city employees legally married in more socially evolved states, was done to comply with SCOTUS's recent decision regarding DOMA. It was only a matter of time before someone brought up the fact that it's impossible to have a marriage legal in some states and unrecognized in another. We live in a mobile society. People move around , and trust me......hundreds per day to Houston. HOW CAN ONE's marriage not be portable?
So greetings from Houston to all my awesome RJ buddies from the city that gave us Lawrence which ended laws against prostate stimulation with erect penises and soon to be the city which will eventually allow us to enter into a marriage contract with whomever we please.

I don't need to defend myself in detail against your delusional slanders about me. You know even less about me than you do about the US, your false pronouncements on both based upon pure invention. Anyone who claims the exclusive title here of "bonafide homosexual" really has no credibility but plenty of laughability.

That is the absolute truth. Texas will never change its ultra conservative, backward ways. Even in the big major cities of Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Fort Worth there are large stubbornly ultra conservative neighborhoods and districts that will always be staunchly anti gay marriage claiming that they are protecting traditional values. Religious conservatism in Texas is not just a small town, rural, mostly white affair. Most of the state's rapidly growing Hispanic population is very conservative and religious. Houston having an openly gay person as a three term mayor is a total fluke. That will never change the powerful right wing ways of the Lone Star State. The only viable way that gay marriage will ever happen in Texas is through a US Supreme Court ruling. Otherwise these gay marriage proponents are just wasting their time pissing against the wind.

That's a rather harsh generalization of nearly 30 million people don't ya think dude? I mean, should I judge all of CA based on, let's say.... Riverside? Or should I say all gay men are like Liberace? Oh and by the way, I'm sure you meant miss, not 'missed'. You wouldn't want to seem IGNORANT now, would you?
