"U.S. District Judge Robert J. Shelby issued a 53-page ruling Friday saying Utah's law passed by voters in 2004 violates gay and lesbian couples' rights to due process and equal protection under the 14th Amendment."

This is a very good and legally sound court ruling. The people of Utah made a horrendous error voting for the ban on gay marriage. Equal protection under the law means exactly that, equal protection under the law.

I think it's all over for the 'anti' crowd, if for no other reason than they are sick of hearing about it. I think you'll see even faster movement over the next year.

Considering that there are lawsuits now pending in 22 of the 'constitutional amendment' states, I'd say you're right.

I've listened to XM radio since there's been such a thing (because all of our local radio channels suck except WOSU) and I primarily listen to Patriot radio channel 125 for talk. I frequently listen to the Tom Rose and Gary Bauer Show on Sunday night ..... yes THAT Gary Bauer. As you know, he's one of the big four or five Christian conservatives and even he has come to terms with it. They know they've lost this one.

Aristoshark saidI've always thought Gary Bauer was one of us. My gaydar goes off the meter when he talks.

Ralph Reed too. Both look a bit alike. I've met both a number of times and have been quite in their face and open and I'm met with reason instead of hate. I'm not saying that I agree with their 'reason', but they were both off to a good start.

I don't know quite what to think about either one of them. They'll get over it and get on with life.
