It's NOT the glasses. They actually are an attractive pair of glasses. They had me try on several pairs and I chose the pair everyone liked, including my "blind self". My vision isn't terrible. He said I can still drive with my regular sunglasses. Maybe he "over corrected" my vision and that's why things look overly detailed!

I wear contacts (air optix night & day aqua, amazing). Get fitted for contact lenses if it helps your self esteem.

Yep, I too wear Air Optics Multifocals for a month, then toss them. Try Pure Moist by Alcon as your lens soak. It's life changer!
Now,, as for glasses. I took my BF in today and bought him a new pair of OGA frames and even sprung for the new eye exam.
Later today, I liked them so much that I went back to the same Optical shop and bought a similar pair myself.
Glasse are great when you get up in the morning or for extended reading.
Some days on the weekends I'll wear glasses for a change of pace. If you get some cool ass frames, you look just as good or better WITH glasses than without!

There's been lots of threads on the subject over the years...

At least you can put gauze over the lens. Try putting gauze over contact lenses. Nothing like seeing yourself for the first time in 25 years without glasses, bucko. I saw this picture of me taken last summer and I was like...wha?

This one within the same month? Better:

    You look better without glasses.

But the glasses hid all the flaws - at least from me! (I guess that's the OP's point.)

Yes I do use pure moist, and you're absolutely right, life changer... Contact lens wearers would understand. Always feels like a fresh pair the next day, plus no redness or irritation. Actually going to ask my Doc. To fit me for the multifocals. I wear plus lenses, which makes it harder to accommodate for near vision at times. How is you clarity with the multifocals?

You can't delete a thread after people have commented.
If you ask to have the thread deleted, it just bumps it to the top (Hmm. Like I'm doing.)
Best to just let it get pushed off the screen.
