I'm driving back home to MI tomorrow, and trying to put together the ultimate Christmas mix for the ride up.

    Any suggestions?

any of the old 'sing along with mitch' christmas songs (mitch miller) if you can get them.

'sing lullaby' if the religious choral thing is ok. by howell. robert shaw chamber singers did nice job. reak maybe not for a long road trip, but might break up the vibe if you need to have change.

    carpenters is good.

barnes/noble had a soundtrack from rudolph the rednosed reindeer that i should have bought when i was there but didn't like an idiot.

Well of course there will be Mariah...I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions that weren't so common.

    For instance...

    Little Drummer Boy-Dandy Warhols
I Believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake

So far the list is coming along well, I am using a little bit of everything.

Ok first thing, I have been listening to the Music Choice christmas channel. I am a full fan apparently of old christmas music sung or played by old people.

    Eartha Kitt's Santa Baby
    and
Neil Diamond's Candlelight Carol (I know I groaned and rolled my eyes too when I realized it was Neil Diamond lol jk)

    are my two current faves.

" I'll be home for Christmas". Can't believe no one has nominated this ( A big shoutout to our troops overseas and Brad!!!!!) and the sacred " Grandma got run over by a reindeer" LOL, but it IS a staple.icon_lol.gif
Oh and Aaron Neville 's " Ave Maria".

i'll sing for you while you on the trip~!

    SILENT NIGHT

    Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
    Sleep in Heavenly peace
    Sleep in Heavenly peace

    Silent night, Holy night
    Shepherds quake at the sight
    Glories stream from Heaven afar
    Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah
    Christ, the Savior is born
    Christ, the Savior is born

    Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy Holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
    Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
    Jesus, Lord, at thy birth

    JINGLE BELLS

    Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
    O'er the fields we go
    Laughing all the way
    Bells on bob tails ring
    Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
    A sleighing song tonight

    Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
    Jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

    A day or two ago
    I thought I'd take a ride
    And soon Miss Fanny Bright
    Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
    Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
    And then we got upsot

    Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
    Jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

    Jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
    Jingle bells, jingle bells
    Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

    cough~! cough~! oh~! no~! i lost my voice~! icon_lol.gif

Hit up iTunes and get the songs from:
"A Colbert Christmas, The Greatest Gift of All"

    The songs are hysterical!
