Do you get ignored more by guys if you are very straight acting? If so , why?

I am a very straight acting guy, and could not act fem if I wanted to. I am into the classic guy things, such as rock/blues guitar, working under the hood of cool cars, working out ( of course ) and computer / electronic geeky things. I get out and about, but it seems that if I bring up any of these things, it totally works against me when finding friends in the lgbt community.

It seems like you are expected to tell everyone you are gay, throw up gestures of some stereotype and talk about show tunes and Streisand. I actually had someone on FaceBook bring this home through several texts and posts this summer.

Am I alone in this experience? I can get it on with the best of guys, and leave them wanting more, but my persona is that of a straight dude, which seems to drive the nice bi / gay guys away.

If this question offended, I would seriously like to apologize from the start.

    Max.

I've had more than one guy say to me angrily in a bar, "You seem kinda straight to me" or "straight people don't belong here."
But I admit I havent been to a bar in years.

I love when people find out im gay after I give it away by saying "my boyfriend..."

...awkward silence...i give them enough time to process it and conversation continues.

OP....I read your profile. Maybe the reason why some guys are not into you is because you're married.
