There was a great video I saw of a young male couple in SLC who went back to the clerks office. The clerk happily handed them a marriage application, assuming - understandably - that they were one of the gay couples there to get a marriage license. One of them smiled and said that they had been married two days before. They were there to put their condo into both of their names. The clerk explained to them that they needed the registrars office, and told them where it was. Neither ever stopped smiling. It didn't bother them one bit that they were in the wrong place, or that they needed to drive somewhere else. All they cared about was making their lives truly one together.
I can be a bit cynical at times, and few things really move me. But that video of a young couple, so happy to be together and to be married, brought a tear to my eye. I am so happy for the couple, and for everyone else in Utah.
