So I'm new to the gay scene, but recently I've heard things around college like "bottoms are sluttier that tops".

So I've been wondering what's up with this stereotype going around, is this just "stupid" college kids or is this something being said around the gay community as a whole ?

I personally don't understand how someone's sexual position has to do with being a slut, but hey what do I know.

I would like to know what college you go to where you just happen to hear such conversations. Name, please.

Anyway, it's probably because of a related ingrained stereotype in the hetero world. Women get fucked, and if a woman says, "I want a big dick inside of me", she's gonna be labeled a slut. If a man says, "I wanna pound a pussy." he's gonna just sound like a man.

If a gay guy says, "I want my hole wrecked." he's gonna sound like a slut, if a gay guy says, "I wanna wreck a boy's hole." he's gonna sound macho/like a man.

Also, somewhat related: gay men will judge you on anything, down to how many hair follicles make up your eyebrows. brace yourself.

I feel ya. As an out and proud bottom I never hear the end of it when I say I'm in the mood to get fucked. It is what it is. I don't let their insecurities get to me. There must be a receptive, and insertive parnter in gay sex so it's not like you can do it without one another. Even around here people will try to "bottom shame" me into feeling bad about wanting to be the submissive partner is sex. Of course if I were a top nobody would bat an eye. The key is to just own it. icon_biggrin.gif

But I have found that the kinda tops I attract seem to like that am so into being a bottom. It's part of my sexual identity. icon_twisted.gif

Actually, I feel tops can be just as obvious. But gays in general tend to find the bottoms as easy targets. Like me!icon_biggrin.gif

But I get some good dick that most of ya'll jealous haterz could never get. So I sleep well at night....icon_twisted.gif

I hate the idea of bottoming. I feel insecure, shamed or distreated. I would never want friends to think I'm a bottom. It would be embarrassing.

At the same time I don't look down on anyone who is a out and proud bottom. It's just not something I want.

Though created many times in the past, this could be a thread that gets heightened interest and momentum tomorrow. Nonetheless I won't be sharing my views yet.

Don't be fooled by other people trying to shame you for what you might like in the bedroom. A top knows how to appreciate a great bottom. It's those that are insecure who are projecting their own shame onto other people who like to bottom. It is nothing more.

Perhaps a double-ended dildo purchase can salvage the problem?

So, which one of you can take the bigger/thicker end?

Yikes! That thing is glistening. While I could somehow imagine a gay couple enjoying that device, I'm glad I never have to use anything like that myself. I'm peaking around that website (I use a VPN), and wow, the things people need to get themselves off. Hmm, this inspires me though, and I need to do research on this and know how to incorporate such things in my future postings, after all, I need to understand the mindset of my future readers.

    Hi.icon_biggrin.gif

Those are actually statements that indicate a level of insecurity or uncertainty to me and not what you actually think. To further my suspicions, I looked at his past posting history and opened something in the neighborhood of 40 tabs of threads he posted in, and sorry to burst your bubble Jmusmc85, I continue to not get that top vibe from him. (Doing such investigation is more of a practice to reconfirm what I can instinctually seem to already know.) It needs to be mentioned however, that he doesn't necessarily have a bottom vibe either, but if this recent posting of his is any indication to base things on, I suspect he's heading towards that direction in thinking about himself that way but not wanting to identify with the term. And while he might still have a boyfriend at the moment, and takes positions accordingly, I doubt the experiences are what he expects out of them, or what you may want out of him as a fantasy. So sorry to say this, it's simply another muscle top fantasy that will just have to go away.

Without having to go into any details, let's just say that people who are in a position of power can readily dictate the rules of things for other people to abide by. They can also establish rules of value.

Such things do matter a lot to people of choice but perhaps value could still be had in those who are more experienced than even the individuals they wish to attract?

I find the whole 'sexual position' thing a bunch of crap. Not even all gay men like anal sex! What are they supposed to tell you when you ask, "N/A" ? Supposedly as much quarter of gay men don't like anal sex whatsoever. I'm one of those guys, and the bewildered look I get from other guys who assume I must like it is very amusing.

You like what you like in the bedroom, but I don't see a need to advertise the specifics of it all over the place in order to get a date. If you meet a guy you really like, you have the discussion then.

To me, saying "I like to top" or "I like to bottom" is the same as saying, "I have a leather fetish" or "I really like nipple play"; it just seems like a lot of extraneous information.

You're just like those annoying Christians/homophobes who are all like 'I wouldn't ever do those shameful, disgusting homosexual acts. I don't look down on homosexuals though.'

...and come on, we all know how they really feel.icon_rolleyes.gif

I always think if there was a gay TV channel, all of the gameshow contestants would say their name and town as usual, then would state if they were a bottom or top.
