    Hey RealJockers,
I've been working out to some of the different mashups of the year's top pop songs that come out around this time of year. I was curious where y'alls' preferences lie.
Personally, I'm in Daniel Kim's corner this year, even though none of this years' songs compare to DJ Drybones' amazing 2012 mashup.
Here are the links. Have a listen, and let me know what strikes your fancy:

Oh, and in case you wanted to hear Drybones' 2012 song, here's that link as well. It has it all: a great beat; a cool, original narrative; and an incredible video that highlights common themes across all the songs. Hot damn, this is amazing:

I'm partial to DJ Earworm when it comes to these mashups. I think he does a great job of putting songs together so they're not only catchy, but also so they actually turn into a song (structure, storytelling, etc.). 2013 wasn't one of his best works, but he's had a couple amazing ones in the past.

Agreed. I have this theory that DJ Earworm is referencing a lot of American issues with his song (e.g. Edward Snowden with the whole "they're watching us" riff, economic malaise with the "$20 in my pocket/guess I shouldn't have started a war") but I tend to overthink things, ha ha.

I didn't catch that in the song, but you could very well be right. After all he does try to turn in them into real songs. Could very well mean they have a real meaning behind them as well.
