So help me to understand--can a claim of monogamy REALLY be truthful when in your profile you're posting tons of suggestive body pix, like so many RJ profiles?

Not a prude, and know I'll probably get a ton of hateful comments, but my query isn't to inspire controversy. Really, it's more of a social query: Can you be monogamous while showing off in obviously suggestive pix, ones that clearly haven't any sports-realated intent (a propos to this site)? Is it a gay thing? A guy thing? Something just exhibitionist do?

Once again, please save the hate for other threads--I'd really like to know what people think. It's more of a Candace Bushnell-curiosity I have about this.

Yes you can be monogamous as long as your not sharing your body with anyone besides your partner.now will your partner appreciate you showing your goodies to the world..probably not.. but technically your still monogamous

My guess is that some guys are just exhibitionists. Also, this is a fitness site. Some guys want to share their accomplishments.

Nothing wrong either way. I don't see the correlation between posting pics and monogamy.

I do it to tease a little. I appreciate the compliments now and then. It's a little boost you need to keep working out

Same. Monogamy involves a physically/emotionally romantic relationship with one person. Posting pictures of yourself does not have anything to do with that, in my opinion. But posting suggestive pictures could create attention that could lead a man to form a new connection with something else, but I think that has more to do with the man than his pictures.

Why not? icon_smile.gif honestly I work really hard for my body but have no one to show it off too, well other then my bf. But it's nice to get a few compliments here and there for your hard work.

Monogamy is about one partner, has nothing to do with showing off or displaying your body. And yah, any compliments help to inspire you to keep the workouts going

Yes, merely showing the goods isn't violating monogamy.

Showing some big pecs and or washboard abs isn't suggesting sex.

Everyone has a different perspective on looks and perception, I am very conservative but I believe in being proud of what you have and also receiving and giving compliments and praise where its due. With that said, its not wrong for a monogamous guy to show off their body.

My boyfriend knows that I am on this site and the pictures up. If he were to disapprove of any of my pictures, then out of respect for him, I would remove them. It is all about trust and honesty also even while on this site and others.
