Think of all those Mormon children, who will be able to see all their mummies marry Daddy, and be legal.

I doubt it, because if it was legal, then kids would also be able watch Mummy marry her harem of husbands, which mormons would hate.

The mormon desire for men to marry their harems of women is sexist and not about equality; marriage for gays is.

What if I want a harem of both husbands and wives?

You know what would be cool? If I could marry someone who was already married, but!!! Still go out and marry someone else, now that's the kinda system we need.

That would be interesting, especially when several husbands and wives divorce you and demand alimony because the more you marry, the higher the odds of divorce. *thinks of the 50% divorce rate* =O

    In your eyes.

Then marriage equality in your eyes then is used to manipulate the people who have issue with the term "Gay Marriage!" Because if it only includes same sex marriage under it's banner, then it's nothing more than gay marriage.

You are right the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints, would hate to see polygamy become legal, and I after being loved by two men for 11 years, until death do us part, also see polygamy as gay culture too.icon_wink.gif

So you have a bisexual who is already married to a women, and then he can also take a husband as well, what a great idea Sherlock.

    I vote for that.

Many men have many wives, and there are women who also have more than one man. I myself had two husbands for 11 years, and that was only to end in death. Also open relationships are also very much apart of gay culture.

Instead of divorcing one for a newer model, you can keep the old and still have the new.

One finds it amusing that there are those who stand under the banner of marriage equity should not only be for Adam and Eve, but for Adam and Steve too. yet in the same breath, they will forbid others the right to marriage; what is equal about that, one may ask?

One finds this attitude not only selfish, ,but bigoted too. Oh forgive me, I forgot. Next man will want to marry his dogicon_rolleyes.gif

Also does stating child would be better off with gay marriage say that children born outside of marriage are less value than those born into marriage; talk about taking us back a 100 years.

Maybe finding both men and women who would want to be in such a relationship, would be the issue; I could have a relationship with a bisexual who had a wife, but not many.

Many men have many wives, and there are women who also have more than one man. I myself had two husbands for 11 years, and that was only to end in death. Also open relationships are also very much apart of gay culture, and polygamy could solve that.

    Wow, this got side-tracked.

But as it happens, some mormon women have already taken heart from the gay marriage movement and filed suit to legalize polygamy. Which I have no problem with, except for the religious brand (theirs) where old geezers scoop up all the girls and kick the boys out of town at puberty. It's non-sustainable. Sorry, can't immediately come up with a non-fanatic link.

And the new California brand of allowing three parents on the birth certificate is primarily to make a punitive financial link to the sperm donor. icon_surprised.gif

Personally, I think that polyamorous families (tribes) are natural and ought to be great for the kids, but not necessarily permanent. Still undreamed of in the legal mumbo-jumbo. I mean, how would sleazy lawyers make money from that?

Wait, what was the OP about?
