I love all holidays, but New Year's Eve is probably my least favorite. I feel obligated to have the best time of my life the moment the clock strikes midnight, and obligation is a feeling I despise. Just wondering if anyone else feels this way and how many people are doing something non-traditional this year.

I think we're going camping in a friend's RV but still waiting to hear back from my friend with the RV. I would be totally happy sitting by a fire, sipping champagne and watching fireworks.

Wow. See, that's the kind of alternative plans I was talking about. What better way to ring in the new year?
