So Santa knew what was good for him and brought me a PS4. But he said the games were very picked over and wasn't sure what kind of games I would want so it's just sitting there, gameless. I had a PS1 and a PS2 but never got the PS3, so not sure what games I want. I really love first person shooter games with Quake being my all time favorite. Not really into sports games or RPG's. To those of you with PS4's, what games would you recommend? Thanks for your help!

One of the places I look at to see what's popular. I think they're an amalgamation of multiple indices.

Assassin's Creed for the PS4 got gamespot's game of the year award just recently. I like those types of hack and slash and exploring games. Need for Speed: Rivals I think is using the game engine from Criterion Games. Criterion's Burnout: Paradise City was an incredible blast, and I've never liked racing games. It was a combination of racing and demolition derby. Those are the two I'll probably be getting if I get a PS4 anytime soon.

If you're a fan of FPP shooters, then Killzone: Shadow Fall is a must-have for you.
And personally I'd recommend Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. A great game, lots to explore and the story missions are really fantastic.

    Got yourself a PS4, huh? ;)

If you're a fan of FPS, then definitely check out Killzone: Shadow Fall. It'll show off the graphical power of your new system, and has a pretty good single player campaign. I haven't really touched the multiplayer yet, so you'll have to research that component of the game for yourself.

I can honestly say stay away from Battlefield 4 until they have ironed out their multiplayer connectivity issues. It has caused frequent disconnects during ongoing matches, and the lag can become an annoyance at times. It's a real shame because when it works, 64 players playing on the same map is quite a sight to behold.

Regarding the racing genre, Need for Speed: Rivals is a great addition for one's PS4 library. The game bases itself on servers that allows you and 5 other players to racing around this huge fictional world. The racing events that they partake in all happen in real time, meaning you'll able to interact with their ongoing race that happens to cross with whatever activity you're doing on the same route. You can also join their event and help them accomplish it or compete in it yourself.

Feel free to add me on PSN. FoxnHurley- (include the dash)
