Eating Enough?

    Hi guys, how's it going?

I've noticed recently that I eat very little. But the weird thing is that I never feel hungry. I almost never have any breakfast except for a tea (can't do without my tea), lunch is always some left overs, yet I always leave half of it AT LEAST before putting it back, and I get small servings for my dinner.

You might think that I would suck up the dessert, but even then. There are a million chocolates in the house, but I have pretty much none of them, baklava is at the ready, but I have one piece and no more, chips have been able to last untouched for a week at least.

I never feel hungry and I'm certainly not undernourished or underweight (58 kg at 176 cm), so is this something to worry about? Simply eating more is something I REALLY don't want to do, as I never feel like I want to eat. It's not even a full feeling, it's just 'I don't feel like eating anymore'.

    Any thoughts on this?

Based on your post, I don't see an issue simply because you are not consuming a bunch of carbs and sugars. These two are the primary causes of weight gain because the more you consume them, then the more hungry you will feel.

But I do think 58 kilos is a bit low for someone your height. 63 kilos would be more ideal. I would seek medical assistance if your weight drops to 52 kg. Good luck!

Have you considered seeing a Dietitian or talking to your family doctor about it? The feeling you describe as "not wanting to eat anymore" could be the beginning of an eating disorder.

if you feel you could eat more if you wanted for the next few days write down what you eat and google the calories of what you ate. You need at least 18000 calories per day. Just a rough estimate tho
get an iPhone app which will give you more information if you type in what you eat each day

if you feel you DONT want to eat i would talk to that Dietitian about a possible eating disorder.
