Here is a GIF loop of a Pop-Tart factory. Splooge, fold, press. Splooge, fold, press. Splooge, fold, press. I imagine my mouth at the end of the conveyor belt eating every single Pop-Tart as it falls into my belly. Yum. But gross. But yum.

If they were coconut cream then the splooge would be white.

I love watching machinery like that work. That's why I watch "How do they make it" so often on the Science Channel.
There all yours, Canadian, cuz I nevet liked Pop Tarts.
    What about you Lumpy? Ikilled?

Aeons ago, I wurked in a factory that made the fruit goop. One of my jobs, as QC Dude, was to make sure that each barrel had the right amount of... spooge factor I guess. It was supposed to be different, depending on whether the goop was headed for Pop Tarts, or the bottom of a yogurt cup, or ice cream, etc. I measured it with something called a "creamed corn meter."

I read somewhere that GIF is not from the Pop Tart factory. I love how misinformation spreads like wild fire on the internet. icon_lol.gif

I worked at a bakery/factory where I had to put cookies in small boxes... I hate all kinds of cookies now.

I rarely eat sweets these days, but when I did Pop Tarts were fair game.

But the goo in the gif is homogenous, no cherry lumps or whatnot. And there's not that much of it. I'm thinking that they might be the toaster pop tarts.

Whatever they are, that machine looks very old-fashioned; I doubt the current pop tars machine looks anything like that.

Yeah, the lumps were what we called "elliot-pitted cherries." They could only go into "cooked" products because it was really difficult to keep the bacteria and yeast & mold counts down after they were shredded like that.

TMI. Used to be my life, for a little while icon_rolleyes.gif

Just add more sugar; sugar's a preservative. icon_twisted.gif

Yep. Most recipes called for a 50-lb. sack in each barrel. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif Although the stuff that got cooked-down in the vacuum-pan usually ended up with enough sugar on its own.

I still eat Pop Tarts too. They're really good for a quick energy before the gym or run.

Why not just a cupcake or a Twinkie? icon_lol.gif
Pop Tarts are cheaper. And they have a better shelf life. icon_biggrin.gif

Looks around for Coach Mike. This would be his favorite thread. It's early Sunday so maybe he will pop in for a visit.

Pop Tarts are delicious. Not on my plan at the moment though. icon_cry.gif

I wondered if he was still around. I haven't seen him since I've been back. But then those shorties are sneaky....sometimes I don't notice them until I feel someone tugging on my pant leg. icon_razz.gif

His appearances are rare. There were some evil trolls that said some things, plus he was busy with real life. We exchange e-mails once in a while off of RJ, but I haven't heard from him in a while. However, the last time I mentioned his name, he magically appeared. lol...

I mean that and pop tarts should be enough to lure him here.
