I didn't see any threads here on the National Bike Challenge, but it is one of the best bike challenges in the country. You log or upload your miles on Endomondo and you compete with cyclists from every state. The challenge this year will begin in the spring on May 1 and goes until September 30. There is no cost to join and participate and at the end of each month prizes are given away in a drawing at each level of miles you reach. The challenge rewards those who b ike often. You get 20 points for every day that you ride your bike and 1 point for every mile. Last year there were 30,000 riders and we rode a total of 18 million miles. The goal this next year is to recruit 50,000 riders to ride 30 million miles. You can join teams, register with you employer and compete individually, by team, company, region, state, and nationally. In the state competition Vermont won 1st this past year and my state of Wisconsin won 2nd.

Here's the link to register and be notified when the new site launches this spring: http://nationalbikechallenge.org/
