    Over the years how many types of fads have you seen? I've seen twerking, the hair phase(hair styles). Have you seen any fads or fallen into one?

    Neon colored clothing. I fell into it when it came around the first time back in the 90s because I was commuting on a bicycle and it seemed like a good idea to wear bright clothing. And I have a penchant for tacky fashions.

    OMFG. Don't challenge old guys with stuff like that. You're only lucky that we'll fall asleep before we can remember them all.

    I remember the cabbage patch craze during the early 80's. These people at the toy store were beating each other up just to get one. I was just happy to get my Atari!

    I started out life being part of this fad, and by all accounts I HATED it...

    Mom tells me I was 4 or 5 and kept insisting that I wasn't a baby anymore...

    I'll just stick with the earlier ones I recall:

    high school girls in falls ('66)
    tie dye
    elephant bell bottoms ('71)
    smiley faces ('71?)
    men's pooka shell necklaces ('73?)
    men's perms ('73)
    men's "print" shirts ('74-5)
    pet rocks
    pong
    "The Natural Look" ('76?)

    A few fads I never took part in, and that I hope never to see again:

    * Polyester clothing
    * Birkenstalks (I can't even spell the damn things - ugliest shoes I ever saw in my whole life)
    * Perms for men
    * Wide collars on shirts (they look clownish)
    * Gaudy diamond pinky rings (a cheap Vegas look for the non-college man)
    * Anything from Ed Hardy.
