I am in need of a new gym bag or duffel, please post examples you have. Are you large and fancy when you take it to the gym as in cool factor, or are you a plain jane?

I am not looking for anything elaborate or very expensive, my current bag is pretty small, 18" across and has lasted 13 years, the side has ripped, prefer a bag with no hard base (just round in shape) and can easy fit into a large suitcase

I had been using a big reusable shopping bag, but I got a nice black travel bag for Christmas from a friend and I've switched to that. It's pretty compact and I can carry what I need.

Not a fan of duffels or gym bags, so I use a huge backpack and it carries everything I need.

Bought mine several years ago, so it's probably discontinued by now. It's an Adidas gym bag with a separate compartment for gym shoes. Relatively spacious. I also use it as a carry on bag for quick weekend trips out of town. Similar size/shape to this..

I don't remember. Pretty sure I got it at Oshmans before it turned into Sports Authority. Yeah, the shoulder strap is super handy while walking from Point A to B around the airport.

Imagine TSA's faces as they scan your bag... But they probably don't have grounds for confiscating them though, do they?

Damn, how small is this locker you're using? The "camping" bag is smaller than most duffels plus using the "camping" bag straps on both shoulders are better for your back when carrying.

If your locker is indeed that small, then you don't need a duffel. Instead, you need this:

I'd look at REI or L. L. Bean for a small daypack.

    The basic Adidas duffel.

I've seriously had mine for 15 years now. Keep in mind that I'm 23 and grade school kids WRECK things.

I also really like Dakine backpacks. Great for snow/longboarding or whatever the fuck else you need to use it for.

I use a rucksack, no gym specific bag. It does fit in locker room and it accommodates almost all the required stuff.

Nike gym bag. Simple, squash-able in a small locker, cheap, has some aerated end pockets for sweaty stuff or wet towels. Big enough for all my stuff or both my and my partner's stuff (including towels) if we carry or wear our shoes.

One time the TSA person said they were shillelaghs and that I could use them to bludgeon someone. I managed to talk my way out of that.

As silly as it sounds, I work for a college. Every damn conference I go to it seems they give out little tote bags or duffel bags. Since I'm cheap, I just use these as my gym bag. I have three of the same duffel bag at my house right now that I use. If one wears out, I have backup. They are great.

My gym bag is a duffel I got from BSA Florida Seabase. It's mesh/netting, so that swim suits and towels would dry. I love it. It's big, washes easy, and never smells. It has also survived over a decade of heavy use.

I couldn't find any of the exact type online, but this is similar 51DYB8PydPL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

We keep thinking that if we buy better, classier gym bags, it'll make us work out more and better. icon_rolleyes.gif
