I was thinking this a few minutes ago on what my favorite thing or time was in 2013. I honestly have to say it was the Realjock meet up in New York where I got to meet everyone. It was such a fun weekend!

    SO what's yours?

2013 was ok. I thought I was falling in love a few times, but it turned out to be indigestion.

Not a thing. turns out 13 really is unlucky.

    Actually, two things.

Personally: One line in a short note from my dad which read simply "Thank you for finding me".

Within society: Definitely the DOMA ruling.

    The part where it ended.

It was a total shit stain from February 2013 onwards.

I was able to travel to Las Vegas, Orlando, and Chicago. Gay Days in Disney World was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and it was amazing meeting so many types of gay people (did you know some of them wear kilts?). I made so many friends and memories and even got interviewed and put in a gay Orlando magazine!

My partner and I finding our Irish Setter Rothko from a "Rescue" group and bringing him into our home with our English Setter "Wembley." Kind of cemented the four of us as a family. And a sweetheart of a dog. Lots of personality. Adopt these loving pups, guys!

My fave things are other people's fave things. Like so:

The RJ meetup in NYC for comicon etc (See Radt's post) it would have been great to be there, but not possible, so instead I got a lot of happy from reading about it and seeing pics.

blkappollo's acceptance by his Mom. Very very cool, as well as meeting blkapollo on a google hangout. I like this man very much.

Apparition got a new BF! icon_biggrin.gif

HUGE wonderful thing - Vanessa married!!

Seeing Shawnathan in person at our place.

This could very well become a very long list!

A toss up between finding a great training & nutrition plan, and getting a manager I actually liked for the first time in 7 years.

You know what, it was a very difficult year for me. I'm sure everyone's tired of hearing about it. However, there were some bright spots.

Financially, I was able to pay off some old debts and do some upgrading around my house. I bought a new sectional couch that I absolutely love. As superficial and wrong as that sounds, that is my favorite part of 2013 - my couch.

You know looking back on 2013 I had a good year. Even though I had a set back with my career, I'm better financially then I was in 2012..

I also started mma fighting and running my 5ks...

And I fully came out icon_smile.gif

    There's also a few other things.so yeah...I had a good one

sudden luck and unplanned traveling to Europe/UK , especially Paris which is the city I dearly miss the most, *not even London to an extent oopsicon_razz.gif, There is so much love in the air there French people are bloody cool and polished as far it's been for me there.

and it could have been perfect to meet my buddy Ammon which we had discussed about it, but I couldn't make it to Belgium on my side of the arrangements. That said I will be back cause I'm not done with the entire Europe yet including Ammon icon_wink.gif

Otherwise its been a highly contrast year with 2 deaths around me people whom I will dearly forever missed.icon_neutral.gif

Had one final hurrah with my Long Island friends in Las Vegas...cut them out for good reason. TOXIC.

Had my first relationship. We weren't together long but no regrets. Learned a lot from it.

I'm going to throw this one in: joining hangout - which may or may not have resulted in a inadvertent coming out? THANKS.

Attended what I consider to be the best party of the year that is my sisters wedding in September.

...and not even a month later, attended our RealJock meat up in Brooklyn. Which was probably the most unexamined (at the time) period of my life. Where I was just who I wanted to be and felt acceptance. I'm sure a lot of you probably think that's pretty stupid but...y'know...No regrets. And neither should anyone else.

    Oh yeah...

    This dude. And this girl.

Hm .. that's a tough one. I'm not very good at recalling moments. There are many good points, but these are the first that come to mind.

When I got my promotion? That first day of walking in with the tie was pretty good. Knowing all the hard work had finally paid off. It finally solidified something I had worked so long for.

Joining the google hangout crew. Took awhile for me to truly enjoy it. But after some time, it make me realize alot about myself. For that I will be eternally grateful.

But most importantly, becoming friends with so many RJ members. That moment realizing I had made so many great friends was truly the best moment of the year for me.
