This subject may have already been exhausted but I'm tired of trying to find friends or potentially more on these websites and apps, but I don't know how I would go about meeting other gay guys at the gym. I am cognizant that my main objective is to work out, it would just be nice to meet some friends but mainly gay guys who would take interest. I see guys look at me but its a glance but I can't tell if its interest or just coincidence. Can someone please help my detection?

I don't think the gym is the best place to look for other gay friends. Why do they have to be gay, anyway? I'm friends with a lot of guys at the gym I go to and as far as I know, they're straight. Unless they just tell you that they are gay, the whole guessing game gets really tiring and can lead to awkward situations.

This is where the hookup sites when you're just looking for friends really come in handy in terms of making friends. I messaged a guy I saw on such a site that I saw him at my gym; he said come by and say hi next time you see me; I did; now we give a friendly hi when we see each other; I keep it in the acquaintance zone but it'd be real easy to get in the friend zone and meet his friends. That'd be one way to meet gay guys in my 'burb.

Join a gay social club or volunteer program if you want to specifically meet other gay men for friendship or more.

I've met a handful of gay friends/acquaintances at the gym. But not because I was actively seeking gay friends at the gym. If you go to the same gym for a while, you eventually strike up a conversation with people you regularly see. Some might be gay, and some might be straight. Doesn't matter to me.

I go to an agricultural community college in a non-metro area in Oklahoma and I'm openly gay, face no problems concerning it, and have met other gay people. I can't comment on the race issue but maybe it's just in your head. Do people actually tell you "You're black so I can't talk to you"? If so they must be the minority.

How much dick do you suck on a daily basis to maintain an income to pay for all the expenses?

Honeslty, man, I just think that it's rude in general to be flirting or looking for hotness in the gym. I mean, most of the guys there are there just to get their workouts out of the way because they have work again tomorrow, and some of the others are the ones that are just trying to learn. I don't think that a gym is best place, plus you gotta understand that most of the men in the gym are probably straight and little less tolerant. I know a lot of guys at the gym and it's kinda creepy when you see somebody eyeing you that you're not interested in lol. The best thing to do is just to ask if they're gay, or just to let them know that you are and that you're not going to be flirtatious. Being on RJ for a week has taught me that there are guys that are perfectly normal that are guy, so it's REALLY hard to use a gaydar to find a man that might supposedly be gay.
